w00t Stickified, announcified, and request thread for next version created... by the way, is the next version going to be pSX 1.10, or 2.0?

The next version will be called v1.10 - I don't think enough has changed to warrant calling it v2.0 yet.

Dumb question. Wouldn't 1.10 be the same as 1.1? You're supposed to drop off any zeroes if it doesn't have a real whole number after it. Sorry, someone had to ask that . Anyways, great work pSX Author, all I can do now is wait for 1.10.

Meh... He could always go with v1.91, v1.92, etc. It would almost make it look like we're creeping up on v2.0...

But then that'd mean it's the 91st or 92nd revision of the 1.0 builds =o If anything, I'd go 1.9.1 or 1.9.2 to denote sub-subversions. TheCloudOfSmoke: Think of it this way: 10 > 9 But anyway, version numbers are version numbers, not *real* numbers, so they're exempt from behaving like real numbers

Oh bloody hell, please do NOT go to 1.10 after this. I think going to 2.0 is fine, as I don't think anybody's overly concerned about all those usually programming specifics.

Indeed, I think people will get really confused (newbies and the kind). Calling it v2.0 is that so much...?
By the way, thank you for another release (damn, it hasn't been a whole year since the first release and we're already on the tenth... Great!).

pSX Author is good like that. I would prefer him to take his time though. I've seen too many emu authors lose interest fast because they worked so much on the emulators and then they got bored with it. I really don't want to see that happen with this emulator.

People very often have high expectations when a version number jumps from 1.x to 2.x. I would personally rather see pSX Author stay with 1.x for the moment, since the changes likely won't been major enough to warrant a 2.x version bump by the time the next version comes around (not doubting pSX Author's ability to add loads of stuff, but you get the point) =T
