I don't suppose they seem particularly exotic in Korea, Bosnia, Serbia and Iceland, youji. Guess who did the Icelandic translation?

Well, not so good news from the athlon 1 front: The emulator still crashes for me on Ubuntu 7.04. Are there still some SSE calls left? Or did you forget to apply the fix? But thanks for having looked into it. What about other people who had the same problem? Can you run the emulator now? I don't suppose they seem particularly exotic in Korea, Bosnia, Serbia and Iceland, youji. Guess who did the Icelandic translation? You mean, you think you're exotic and I don't, youji?

@psxauthor: Well, not so good news from the athlon 1 front: The emulator still crashes for me on Ubuntu 7.04. Are there still some SSE calls left? Or did you forget to apply the fix? But thanks for having looked into it. Only the language selection works. After hitting OK I can see the main window for maybe a second, then it vanishes. Can you run it in gdb and give me a stack traceback at the point of the crash? If it gets to the language selection then its not the same problem as before...

hmm. Do I need a special debug version for Linux to get a stack traceback?
This is what I have gotten so far:
amano@desktop:~/spiele/pSX$ gdb pSX GNU gdb 6.6-debian Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc. GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain conditions. Type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB. Type "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "i486-linux-gnu"... (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". (gdb) call stack No symbol table is loaded. Use the "file" command. (gdb) file pSX Reading symbols from /home/amano/spiele/pSX/pSX...(no debugging symbols found)...done. (gdb)
BTW, IIRC, I have been able to reach the language selection ever since the times that pSX worked for me on Ubuntu.

FoxikAre you kidding?

You need to do this: gdb pSX (wait for gdb to load) run (wait until pSX crashes) bt When you type bt it should print a stack traceback.

It is to note that this time the window didn't vanish but it got greyed out (like a crashed Firefox window). I hope this helps.
My CPU is an Athlon 1400 (Athlon 1, not XP) The OS is Ubuntu 7.04 The (new legacy) nvidia driver 1.0-9631 is in use for my Geforce 4 Ti

dragonheart, Foxik, this is mainly an English-speaking forum. If you want to chat in Russian, that's fine, but it would be much more polite either to do it in your own thread for Russian speakers (put it in Chat?) or to PM each other. Or, if you need to put your comments in this thread, perhaps you should add translations, otherwise, it's a rather pointless activity (apart from being rude) since no-one else can understand you. amano: what does glxinfo give you?

Great. Reinstalling the driver helped (don't know what had caused that) and it works now!!!! Thanks a lot pSX author!
