patrickp:It was a personal question, sorry. I just thought that I can delete my posts, but as I see I can delete posts only in threades that was created by me. Sorry, I won't do this anymore. Foxik there is no link to 1.13 on the main page I can't understand, it is here.Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. What do you mean I can't read your posts (which are in russian) in Opera. Tried IE - everythink is OK. Strange. Looks like the engine of this forum is really bugy. PS. Thanks for registring, type some posts if you can. Thanks a lot.
Ah! Perhaps you should have linked to it, dragonheart, or quoted it. Anyone even bothering to look back through four pages of posts to find out what your questions were would have encountered your Russian translation enquiry first, and thought that was what you were referring to.
Edit: BTW as far as your anti-aliasing question is concerned, search the forum: it's been answered at least twice recently.
And as far as your Crusaders of Might & Magic bug is concerned, I don't see a report from you on it in Game Compatibity...

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You've nailed the Classic Athlon SSE bug. Just tried 1.13 and everything worked great! I hadn't been able to get *anything* working much beyond 1.10 previously -- and now we're back to good.
Which means that I'm just starting to see the number of fixes put into the Linux version since about the 2nd WIP version. I'm going to be having fun being amazed for awhile. Its nice to finally have built-in Joystick support!

patrickp You want _everything_ done for you? What does it mean? Do you mean that I thinking only about myself and I told about problems im MG and crusadrs in hope that pSX author will fix it, so I can play it aren't thinking about other users of pSX emu? LOL. I'm using ePSXe with Pete's OpenGL2 plugin. It has better compability (at least every of mine 60 psx games work fine with it and I can't tell it about pSX). As addition it greatly enhances graphics, the sound quality after some configuring is better too and I have no problems with me gamepad in ePSXe. I just saw a new emu and decided to test it in all of mine 60 games but now I think that it was a bad idea. PS. In Pete's forum, The_Source said: "As for 3d - pSX author has emulation accuracy on 1st place but he said that he will add OpenGL rendering when all compatibility problems are solved." Is it true? I thought that pSX will never be enhancing graphics..
Hallo, pSX is great emulator and i like it very much, especially becouse my favorite game Rebel Assault 2, working so good. I will try this new version later today, but i want to ask everybody on this forum including pSX creator, what is the problem with EA sports F1 2000, why this game wont work with any PSX emulator i know? This is really great game, but simple dont understand which kind of protection EA Sport use in this game and why she is so effective?
dragonheart: did you try searching for 'anti-aliasing,' then?
@youji: 'condescending?' Do you know how many new members we get coming to the forum asking questions that they could have easily found the answers to by searching the forum or reading the forum documentation? I have no idea how many, but it's a large amount. And we try to answer them all. Obviously, the best way to answer them is to point them to what they should have done, otherwise, they'll just carry on doing the same thing.
This is not a paid support forum, where staff members (which I'm not, anyway) would be obliged to answer queries. Every single person posting here does so of their own voilition - even the forum admins receive nothing for what they do. In fact people like pSX Author, Ultima and smegforbrain probably expend a good deal of their own time and effort, and money, doing what they do.
universe: most copy and mod protection schemes for Playstation games may seem effective, but there are strategies to defeat most of them. First, if you're playing from CD, you need to be sure your optical drive can read the subcode on the CD that enables the emulator to defeat the protection. Some drives do this much better than others: as a rule of thumb, -RW drives do it better than -ROM drives. Linux seems better at reading subcode from optical drives than Windows, but using an ASPI layer often helps in Windows.
Otherwise, if you're ripping your games to images, use a format that includes subcode; .ccd/.img/.sub and .mds/.mdf are the ones pSX recognises. The other formats it recognises, .bin/.cue and .iso, don't include subcode, so generally aren't effective for defeating copy protection.
Otherwise; you can apply a patch for the copy protection; either permanently patching an image, or applying the patch on-the-fly to the CD or an image of it; you can do this in pSX via command line or terminal switch, or you can use Ultima's pSX Frontend (very useful generally for starting games as you want) to apply it.
There is a patch available for at least one version of this game; unfortunately, since you haven't given us much information, most notably no game ID, it's impossible to be more specific than that. Looking in the Compatibility Lists, there doesn't seem to have been a report on the PAL version(s) of this games for the last two versions of the emulator; if there are any NTSC versions, there are no reports at all.
What you need to do is go to the Game Compatibility section and make a report, providing all the required information and any additional information that might be useful. Read Things to Remember when Posting Reports, prominently linked above this and every other page in the forum for more information. This will enable smegforbrain, who maintains the Compatibility lists, to update them for your game and, when you've supplied more information, enable people to give you more specific advice.
Thanks for replayin am sure that my version of F1 2000 is NTSC, but i will look for ID and others relevant informations and post to Game Compatibility sections. I only want to know is there any person from this forum who made this game work on any PSX emulator?
