Okay, I've been using the emulator for about four days now and thought I'd post my thoughts on it.
Overall, superb. The lack of a plug-in system makes it incredibly user friendly and many games work very well. But...
pSX REALLY needs to recognise files other than just bin/cue files. CD and ISO files are far more common than bin/cue files and would make what is a promising emulator into a genuine threat to current leader-of-the-pack, ePSXe.
Also; I understand your reluctance to add filters etc. but perhaps "scanlines" at least? This wouldn't compromise the authenticity as this is how we all viewed our PSX games back in the day.
I hope this hasn't come across as overtly critical or ungrateful as that really isn't my intention; I'd just love to see pSX overtake ePSXe and become the Playstation emu of choice, and just just a few tweaks here and there, there's no reason why this can't happen. You've laid a great foundation, good luck.

It had been talked about before...maybe you shouldn't tell him about this and that. I do not think it is good idea to stress him even more. Just wait until the next version and if there is something missing that he would want to hear from us then we can let him know about it.

While it's true that this has been discussed before, I don't think you should be discouraging people from "tell[ing] him [pSX Author] about this and that." You've done that in several threads already, and as you agreed in the other thread, pSX isn't obligated to heed to every request, and can easily ignore them.
That said, pSX Author has already said that more image formats will be supported in future versions. Scanlines were requested before, but I don't recall pSX Author ever responding to the requests, so we don't really know his opinion on it.
Sidenote: Oh how weird it is to keep calling the dev "pSX Author" -- doesn't seem like a real pseudonym, but rather, a title... which makes the sentences I'm writing feel grammatically incorrect xD

In reply to rockmangames: you'll notice that I wasn't demanding of expecting ANY of the features I mentioned to be implemented, just voicing what I consider would be VAST improvements that will help the emu get the recognition it deserves and ultimately, of course, help us, the end users. Years ago, I used to be part of an emu dev team (well okay, there were about FOUR of us) and I DO know the difference between demanding something that I have no right to demand, and expressing constructive critism in what I hope is a helpful fashion. Believe me, we got plenty of each.
For a first build emu, pSX IS very good; stable and with a decent compatibility level. It's just a few small steps to greatness...
