Creating .bin/.cue files from CD's

Emulator - Playstation.
Things you need:
CDRWin
adaptec Aspi layer installed- If you're using windows 2000 or XP
scph1001.bin
scph7502.bin to put in the "Emulator's" bios folder. Put one of these bios in the "bios" folder.
(Use google.com to find the bios)

Start:
First You'll have to extract the playstation game into an image using CDRWin.

Getting it to work: You'll have to create BIN/CUE's of your PSX games and either copy them to your HArddrive or burn them to DVDR's/CD-RW's. Your ".BIN and .CUE" files should have the same names:

For Example:

GAMENAME.BIN
GAMENAME.CUE

is a valid combination and

GAMENAME01.BIN
GAMENAME.CUE

is not.

Getting Started Instructions:
CDRWIN=

1. Open CDRWin, and click the top-centre icon on the main screen
2. Click in the "Image Filename" box, and type in the location and filename of the bin/cue files you wish to create. Make sure the RAW option is checked, then click START.
This will now create the bin/cue files for use with "Emulator".
3. After it finishes creating the .cue & .bin files, open up the .cue file with notepad
and check and see if it need to be edited. Sometimes, the filename includes the drive, in this case "D:\". Remove this part of the path/filename...

Example:
FILE "D:\CASTLEVANIA.BIN" BINARY
Wrong

FILE "CASTLEVANIA.BIN" BINARY
Correct

4. Click "File" then "Save" to save the changes.
This tutorial is very basic, but should be enough to help get the emulator running with your ISOs.

Things You Might Need:
1. Alcohol 120%
2. UltraISo: to make . bin and .cue files easily, much better than CDRWin, again, thanks goes out to VampX on this one.

You might have some playstation 1 games that needed to be first extracted back to its original Game Disc formula cause some files might have an extension of .ccd (CloneCD extension), and might not include the main structured formula such as the "system" data and so forth, That's what you need "Alcohol 120%" for. If this is how your game data is, here's what you need to do.

1. Insert a blank CD in the Burner drive
2. Open up Alcohol 120%
3. Choose "File"
4. Choose "Image Burning Wizard"
5. Now "browse" to the location of the .ccd extension file of the game you want burned and choosed to open.
6. Now choose "Next".
7. Now in the lower-left corner of the menu, You should see "datatype", Choose that and change it to "Playstation".
8. Now choose "Start"

Now here's what you do after the burning finishes

1. Put the burned playstation disc we just made back into the drive.
2. Now open up "UltraISO"
3. Now choose the fifth Icon from the left that says "Make Cd/DVD Image".
4. Now you'll probably see the location and the name where it will be stored at, Probably something like this

"C:\Program Files\UltraISO\mycd.iso"

5. You see where it says \mycd, you should change the name of that to the name of the game you're burning for Instance, I choose to burn the game "Breath of fire 3" so my file name would be-
"C:\Program Files\UltraISO\Breath Of Fire 3.iso"

6. Now just below the file browser is the Output format, On default it's on "Standard Iso(*.ISO)", Change that to
"BIN (.BIN/.CUE)". Now this is how your file name should look like now in the file browser-
"C:\Program Files\UltraISO\Breath Of Fire 3.bin"

7. Now Choose Make. When you're done, Your file would have been made correctly.

And if you have already some ccd or other iso (not cue bin) on your hard drive, mount them in deamon tools and make your .cue .bin image using the virtual drive as source in cdrwin or ultra iso. ;-) .

I'm confused about what diontae says about ccd being incorrect. I was under the impression that ccd was more accuracte than bin cue because it supported subchannel information. What's this about original game disc formula?
