...the lack of a cheat device is killing me. I know this has been brought up in other threads, but I cant express enough how much this missing feature drives me away.
Im sick of using alternate versions of the PSEmu Pro engine, which all essentially run the same. This is the first PSX emulator Ive come across that actually runs perfectly. Thing is, when I play a PSX game, its typically to re-experience an RPG, but without the annoying things like random battles and what have you. Infact, the lack of any sort of cheating device is so bothersome, I will tolerate having fault input handling and other 'issues' just so I can plow through the games that much quicker. The only times I use pSX is when I need to get through some section in a game where the others choke (FF8, Opening scene in disc 2). When Im done, it PAINS me to have to go back to the PSXeven.
Please, PLEASE add support for it...
==========
Also, the GUI could use some work, but this is just minor griping. If I finish some of my other projects, maybe Ill throw something together and see what you think.

Sigh. You elitest idiot; I wouldnt have asked if googling "gameshark v5" made it abundantly clear what the hell youre talking about.
Why dont you save me the trouble of sifting through a plethora of gameshark code and modchip sites and spell it out. Clearly you know something I dont, stop being childish.

That attitude of yours says we shouldn't help you at all. I actually was GOING to tell you myself-- but now? I'll only hint, just like the other guy.
Gameshark V5 disc image.
Put the pieces together.

Dont preach to me, 15 year old. I asked because his messages were elusive. Giving me the same message after I ask for more information only served to irritate me. I dont read forums to solve word puzzles.
Secondly, an ISO isnt acceptable for two reasons: (1) Its illegal. (2) Even if I wanted to use an ISO, I have dialup. Downloading a 600mb image is simply not an option.

cerium, an image is not illegal if you've you've ripped it from a game that you own. I much prefer using images to play Playstation games with emulators, including pSX, and every one that I have is ripped from a game that I own.
In fact, you won't generally find emulator forums condoning the use of pirated software: IMHO any idiots talking about their use of illegal software here should know better.

I know, which is why its illegal - I dont own the gameshark CD (for PS1, anyway). Thats 99% of the reason I use an emulator -- I have a perfectly functoining PS2.
Though, its kinda nice at times to play some PSX games during class.

cerium, stop flaming, please? If you don't understand what he's saying, or it doesn't help you, just say so. There's nothing wrong with telling someone to google something, and even if it's not what you're looking for, calling someone an idiot is entirely uncalled for.
