Hello guys, this is my first post so I say hello to all the members of this board. I've written a little front-end for Psx. It is similar graphically (but more limited) to ePSXeCutor front-end and allow the configuration of: - Memory Cards
- Joypad Type (only pad 1)
- Drive letter for direct CD usage
- ISO name for usage with iso, ccd, cue and so on
- ISO and drive letter for use with Daemon Tool: the front-end automatically load the iso on Daemon and then run the emulator
The usage is very simple extract the zip in any folder, start the executable set the location of Psx and Daemon via the Edit/Preferences menu and then create the profile You can download it from the Download section of my brother's site: powt.altervista.org

Hm, looks cool, interesting idea allowing people to mount an image with Daemon Tools automatically Quite the coincidence, I was just about to announce my frontend to the forums as well

Not bad at all. It doesn't properly detect memory cards, though. When I navigated to my memory cards folder (default folder), it didn't show any of my memory cards. They are .mcd, as they should be. Is it looking for a different extension besides .mcd or .bin (I tried .bin, since pSX supports it)?
Edit: I'm also rather curious what language this was written in. I took a look at the code and didn't recognize the syntax at all, except that I could tell it was code.

Most likely .mcr, since that's the ePSXe format? Yes, finds .mcr cards Ok. Never mind, Ultima, we still love you!

@gamesoul Master: Almost definitely Pascal or some derivative (not just from the .pas extension, but also the GUI coding). The syntax kinda reminds me of AutoIt Script, though not really.

Ahh... now I see. I never actually use .mcr, so I didn't think to check it. I hunted around trying to figure out what this thing is written in, and my search has led me to a program called "NumWords". Never heard of it, and I can't even really find much of any information on it, except that it handles some kind of programming, is multi-lingual, and it handles the formats of the source code files including with this frontend. Anybody know anything more about it? Twomp: If you're taking requests, I request allowing Pff to detect the .mcd memory card format files also, as it is very widely used. Ultima: So this "NumWords" program handles Pascal, then? I've never seen Pascal code, but I've of course heard of it (we had to learn about it in AP Programming). Didn't know we had anybody around versed in its use (well, we do now, right? ).

The program is written in Delphi an Object Oriented derivate of Pascal and yes, for now, it know only the mcr extension for memory card (is the only that I have on my PC). I forgotten to say that you can rename a game profile by simply clicking again on the name after selecting a game. But I'll work to fix these error (but I haven't much time; I must work for the university)
Edit: I uploaded a new version with the other memory card extensions and the gui to rename a game and the ability to rename also pressing F2 after selecting a game. You can download at the same place of the previous version

Why not put the link in your sig, Twomp? Edit: would be a good idea to put version numbers on the zip files, too. ATM I have to put each one in a new folder; they've all got the same name. I also have to name the folders to know which is which - and I haven't even got round to trying it yet... will do, though when I've got time ;P

The HTML code for placing a url is "url=(link to file)" (with brackets instead of quotes and no parenthesis around the link), then right after the brackets type the text that people will see (and click on to follow the link), and then close it as you would any HTML code ([/url]).

To see the syntax for making a link, Twomp, just click the quote link for anyone who's got a link in their post/sig.
Try it with your original post (I presume you just put the link in as text, and the board interpreted it as a link) and you'll get the exact code to insert.
Edit: whoops! Sorry - you won't see the syntax for a link in someone's sig because it won't show the sig! But, as I said, click the quote link for your own original post.
