This is a great emulator! But why don't you support use of multitaps and PSX mouse? And if you insert an option for use "M3S files" (created with a CDR plugin called "Pete CDR 1.4" for bypass copy protection (used in Wip3out because freezes when pass the checkpoints). And the least but not the last a possibility for reduce XA volume music by game and don't by emulator (i've post a report from GTA 2 because music plays also your are on foot, and when you pause game in bust-A-Groove music don't decrease volume automaticly)! What do you think?
EHM! Sorry but I'm not english native, I'm italian and some words can be "wrongs"

No... if it were possible, CXBX wouldn't require images to be ripped from XBOX.

Xbox emulation is more easy (I think) than PS2 emulation because Xbox has a Pentium 3 like CPU... emulate a Pentium 3 on a Pentium 4 it will be fast and simple. There are many great game on xbox: Halo 2; Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath; Otogi 2; Dead or Alive, Project Gotham Racing; Jet Set Radio Future; Rallisport Challenge 2 and many more... I think that you can make Xbox playable on PCs with Xbox DVD with the same structure of PsX. There are just a PS2 Emulator called PCSX2 version 0.9.1 (now is in exit the 0.9.2) and many game starts and are playable (but slow). First to do PS2 emulation, try to emulate xbox!!!! What do you think?

Just because XBE calls can be redirected to native DirectX/Win32 calls doesn't make it easy. Take a look at how far Caustik got with CXBX -- all that progress, and he was only able to get Turok Evolution running near-perfectly.
And you still can't read XBOX DVDs directly, which means you'll still need to have a modded XBOX to FTP the data to yourself.

and you still can't read XBOX DVDs directly. if you have a cracked firmware for your drive maybe can! Or make an iso. I think that XBE files are "one for a game"... PS2 games have different ID (SLES_xxx.xx, SCES_xxx.xx ecc...). Every version, for example, of halo 2 works because XBE file is the same... But (like PSX) Apocalypse in a version work (but not very well) and in other crashes!! Do you understand something?

If you're willing to flash your drive's firmware just to play XBOX on your computer, go right ahead, but there are few drives that can even read XBOX discs after a flash, and if it screws up, you're SOL, and will have to buy a new drive. That and XBOX emulation would still take a long time to perfect. Simple solution: play the games on the console that you're supposed to own.
Regarding the XBEs being identical... I don't know, as I'm not intimately familiar with the XBOX emulation scene, but with the multitude of XDK builds used for all the different games, it'd take forever to support all of them (at least the way Caustik was emulating the XBOX).

Is a great thing that CXBX run a game (whatever is) but Turok Evolution is ooooooooooold!!!!! There are many others game of Xbox to emulate... the list is very big...! If you and Caustik work for another Xbox emulator with another name (Like PCXBOX... ) many people (like me) maybe be happy! Now there is Xbox 360... Xbox is old... PC have got dual core, PS 3.0, ecc... IT'S TIME TO EMULATE!!!!!

Stop with Xbox emulation now!!!! PSX is not perfect like emulator... there are other bugs to correct, ecc...
But is in second place, after ePSXe (old still 2003, THINK!!!!). pSX will be THE BEST PSX EMULATOR FOR PC!!!!!!
In the future it will playable all games? I read that is the goal!!!!

...? I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but I do know you're comparing apples to oranges by comparing pSX to ePSXe. Their goals aren't even the same, so there's no point saying one is better than the other. Saying one is better than the other based on how many games they are "compatible" with is not a measure of how good an emulator is, either, if that was your criterion.

Alright. And no, I don't work on pSX. Only pSX Author does. I'm just a mere administrator for the forum.

stranger90, if you'd read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) thread in the Important Information thread (specifically, the Miscellaneous post), you'd know that pSX Author is very unlikely to do an XBox port. He has stated on the forum that he has his reasons for this, and also that he is not likely to allow someone else to develop an XBox port of the emulator. There have been a few disputes and threads around this (as you would see if you searched the forum) and it seems pretty clear: not going to happen. And, yes, your English ain't bad for "for an italian boy."

And ePSXe supposed isn't dead. Just a lot of quiet work being done on it. At least... that's what they say at the other forum. Although you'd think that after all this time, they'd release *some* kind of update to let people know that they're still alive.
XBox emulation will never go anywhere. Maybe in a few years it will, when things progress quite a bit more (or someone manages to reverse-engineer those "emulators" the XBox 360 uses to play original XBox games). For now, the XBox emulation scene seems to be much further progressed in emulating other systems *on* the XBox. Maybe that's just the way it should be.
Besides, there aren't very many good games on XBox anyway. I know Microsoft went through a lot of trouble to get exclusive games and content, but in the end they didn't do a very good job. I'll stick to my PS2 (and PS3 after the first updated model comes out).
I'm willing to bet that *PS3* emulation will get further than XBox emulation within a few years. Just as soon as PC technology gets far enough (which, apparently, should be by the end of 2007 or so).
