forums.ngemu.com/everything-else-psx/34515-how-make-perfect-backup-psx-games.htmlCan someone post this as rewritten here at this website? Please add credit to them as well. I been using CloneCD and works so far. I haven't try Alcohol 120% at all. I'm trying out the Alcohol 52% and the IsoBuster out right now. I don't which is the best. If you know which is the best then point to the one that I really need to use is the best.

These are not posted because CloneCD and Alcohol 120% are not freeware. Alcohol 52% works wonderfully for creating ccd/img/sub images. I have used it for about 20 of my PS1 games so far, and I have never had a problem with it. It really is your best choice.

I found that IsoBuster can't read at the end of this cd. img186.imageshack.us/img186/7541/errorme6.pngI will drop this one. Yea I haven't had a problem ripping cd with Alcohol 52% too. I will compare it with CloneCD and see if the sizes are different on this game. I set both at 1x. I already done the Alcohol 52% at 1x. CloneCD is next.

I'm gonna keep back the comments that came to mind reading through that progression of testing.
Basically, I'm just glad that you ended up picking the right program. Alcohol 52% is definitely *the* program to use for creating accurate ccd/img/sub images.
As an added note (regarding your mention of using 1x speed)... if you have any kind of newer drive (basically, anything with DVD capabilities would be "newer"), I feel confident that you can rip your games at 2x or even 4x with absolutely no worry of inaccuracies. Of course, discs with scratches should naturally be extracted at a lower speed... but even those, I've extracted at 8x and got perfect rips.
