How about a turbo (rapid-fire) function? e.g. toggling '[' would make any key rapidly "press itself" when held down.

Probably better to get a controller that provides a turbo function, 454casull. It can be useful in odd ways, sometimes, though. I remember in Wonderboy II (Wonderboy in Monster Land) - there's a bit in the final castle where you have to jump up a set of steps that keep appearing and disappearing. It was a pig to get up, but I discovered that by setting the jump button to turbo, it got a _lot_ easier!

Heh I made a turbo key application a long time ago in AutoIt, but it didn't allow you to configure keybindings, and only allowed you to start and stop by pressing a button in the application itself.
