I think I have finally figured this little bugger out and today I FINALLY got it to work for me. Below is a simple and easy to use Readme file I wrote today just for this. To the CEP team I hate to say this but the unhacked version of CEP works MUCH better than the reworked hacked versions you guys did recently. I did have to edit a few of the files but I did get it to work with near perfect results.

WARNING!!!
Read this to the letter or you may not get CEP to work at all!!!
To use CEP with pSX Emulator requires the following steps:
1. Load up pSX and after the BIOS loads and you select your game go to your CEP folder and launch the CEP application. (You must do this before the game loads! The codes must be in the memory footprint before the disk is loaded!!! The best time to do this is when the PSX (Sony Playstation) symbol screen vanishes.)
2. Now in CEP select your emulator from the list. I HIGHLY recommend you use the unaltered CEP executable for this with the editted database files included ONLY (sorry guys but the hacked binary versions don't work that well).
3. Now select the Base Address earch and look for "Playstation" and select it and hit the SEARCH button to load the memory address.
4. Now under the Code tab select your game if you have it in the file. If not Go to the Cheats Tab and type in your code as such:
example using Valkyrie Profile codes:
"INFINITE MP"
D005AFDE ACE2
8005AFDE 2400
"INFINITE CP ALL CHARACTERS"
D005C71E A6A2
8005C71E 2400
Now save the code to a file labeled "ValkyrieProfile.txt" using the SAVE button. KEEP YOUR CODES SEPERATE!!! They work better as individual files.
5. Now for the tricky part. Now select codes from the list back on the CODE tab and highlight each individually one at a time and hit the ON button after clicking each selection (you have to do this or it will not work!)
6. Should this have worked right you should see your codes listed in the box under the CHEATS tab. (if not refer back to step 4 to make custom code databases) Now since you are using GameShark, ProActionReplay, or CodeBreaker codes select Playstation compatible from Translator list, PAR from the Code Engine, and either High or Realtime (I highly recommend RealTime) from the Priority.
7. Leave CEP open! Let it run while you play the game. You may have to hit the Off and On button to reload codes in midgame or toggle codes as needed.
