Thanks for the info, rath. I haven't had time to look into patching the copyright protected games in my collection, so it's good to get reports on those from others.

Ace Combat 3 Electrosphere [NTSC-U][SLUS_009.72][SCPH1001][pSX 1.4] = OK seems to works perfectly, no missing 3d faces like the PAL version showed in earlier versions of pSX. Maybe was a PAL only problem ? don't have the PAL version anymore to test further.
One Piece - Mansion [NTSC-U][SLUS_014.06][pSX 1.4] = OK no problems noticed

Maybe was a PAL only problem ? Apparently. I think there's already a few titles on the list like that, where problems were reported with a game from one region, but the same game from another region worked just fine. I haven't been able to get a lot of game testing done - damn college classes and LOTS of overtime for work this week, but at least I'll have a nice paycheck to show for the latter. Mostly I've gone through and checked the games on my hard drive against the latest version of pSX. Tested all of the following existing entries with v1.4: Castlevania: SotN Chocobo's Dungeon 2 Destruction Derby Raw Diablo Saiyuki: Journey West Tales of Destiny 2. All these match up with the testing from previous versions of pSX. Saiyuki: Journey West I went back to test some more on previous versions of pSX regarding the problems with the FMV's. And, lo and behold, the problem wasn't occuring any more, so I removed that entry. Not even sure why it was occuring in the first place. If any of the following are repeats from previous postings I've made, I apologize. I just can't keep track any more. Destrega (SLUS_007.32, SCPH1001), versions 1.2-1.4 Received a "play_xa: unhandled xa mode" error, but it doesn't seem to affect anything in the game Dynasty Warriors (SLUS_004.38, SCPH1001), versions 1.1-1.4 The game often won't load after initially loading the game image/cd, but after that use Reset and it will work; also won't load past the Omega-Force logo if no memcard is present Quake 2 (SLES_015.34, SCPH1001), versions 1.1-1.4 Had been previously tested with unknown bios for version 1.1, works great with all versions South Park (SLUS_009.36, SCPH1001), versions 1.1-1.4 Works great Strider 2 (SLUS_011.63, SCPH1001), versions 1.0-1.4 Copyright protected, but patched version works great Tomba! (SCUS_942.36, SCPH1001), versions 1.1-1.4 Works great Tomba! 2 (SCUS_944.54, SCPH1001), versions 1.0-1.4 Copyright protected, so it doesn't work Updated list is now up. I even managed to finally get the damned thing to work without all the excess side scrolling that was showing up in browser windows.

Ah, well, maybe pSX Author'll get round to sorting it at some point... ;-(

[/li][li] Dead or Alive seems to be working perfectly now... no stuttering, no buffer overflows [/li][li] Dragon Ball Final Bout (SLPS_009.49) works correctly now, no stuttering, and normal speed... sometimes freezes, but kind of random, so I can't really say how to reproduce, and will leave it as perfectly playable in the mean time [/li][li] Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale is working perfectly... not sure who reported it before, but it works on my end -- the announcer does start the round, I'm able to be declared winner, I can move onto next round, etc. This is the case from 1.1 all the way to 1.4 (I never got around to testing 1.0, since I'm too lazy to make an image) [/li][li] Megaman 8 is now working perfectly -- no stuttering [/li][li] Metal Gear Solid... should the old entry with little information be removed (or deprecated into the list at bottom)? Unless we get more information on that specific entry, it's useless (and probably more confusing) to have two entries like that [/li][li] Mortal Kombat II... there's only ever been one Mortal Kombat II released for PSX, so those two entries are definitely referring to the same game... you should probably combine them [/li][li] Omega Boost... turns out the NTSC-J version of this game is copy protected, so it freezes at the SCEI screen... either Samor had some kind of patched version, or he had the EU version... but either way, the NTSC-J version (which is what is currently listed on the list) doesn't work [/li][li] Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI: Awakening of the Dragon (add subtitle, ignore Roman numeral if you like) [/li][li] Twisted Metal III: I didn't get any CDDA buffer overflows in console... just some autopause cdda message (it's not noteworthy, so should probably be left out) SOME RESOURCE(S) I FOUND [/li][li] List of some copy protected games[/li][/ul]

Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI : Awakening of the Dragon[/url] (add subtitle, ignore Roman numeral if you like)[/quote] I left off the one for Rot3K4, too. I really just did it at the time to save room since the title is too damn long. 3, 4, and 6 were the only ones that had subtitles (5 was never released in the US). The series has a long enough title as it is, but I added the subtitles anyways.

Have noticed a problem in Suikoden that when you try and use the teleport or the store in the castle it won't let you move down the list of places or people, you can only select the top of each page.

THPS 1 through 4. All have graphics issues. Flashing screen, etc. Although I don't think part 1 gets through the load screen. These games run perfectly on epsxe though. Hope they eventually work for psx ;D
Edit - sorry if these were mentioned already. I just realized that there are 24 pages of games.

Can you give us more information, like what version of pSX, BIOS, game ID (you can find this by browsing the CD and copying the filename that looks like SLUS_###.## or SCUS_###.## or whatever else)?

It seems that all protected PAL games do not work (would require subchannel reading): FF8 PAL, FF9 PAL, Vagrant Story PAL. At least Vagrant Story not even after patching (tried two different patches). I didn't try to patch the other games though.
For me FF7 PAL, FF Anthologies PAL (both games) and Ridge Racer Type 4 PAL work fine.
