Well
Here Are The Games I Have beaten Using The pSX Emulator
Castlevania - Works Good But Sometimes Hangs (Fixed By Inserting The Image And Walking Back To A Load Screen)
Resident Evil 2 - Works Good But Also Hangs & Minor Audio & Video Glitches.
Parasite Eve - Works Great Had No Problems With It The Only Area I Have Not Played All Of It Is The Chrysler Building.
Games That Do not Load At All
Parasite Eve 2 Legend Of Legaia
Games That Load But Don't Run
Legend Of Kain
Testing On Final Fantasy 9 & Resident Evil 3

Despite a few problems with sprite glitchiness and slight pauses (up to 20 seconds on rare occasion) before battles you can play Grandia all the way through, too. I am about 85% through the game and never actually came across a freeze my entire time playing. (40+ hours) CSOTN hangs primarily after bosses or upon loading new areas with new music, I've noticed... Maybe I'll try the 1000 bios instead of the 1001 to see if it helps any. (Also has the Grandia pause bug but with voices at the start of conversations instead of battle loads) *shrugs* Castlevania Chronicles freezes from time to time but if you wait long enough sometimes it will resume and you can continue on. It is still beatable, though, as I just beat it a few minutes ago. Final Fantasy Origins has a messed up aspect ratio. It stretches to fit the entire screen horizontally but not vertically, so the sprites are smooshed and fat looking. Persona 2 seems to run fine... I played it for 12 hours or so before deciding to finish up Grandia. I'll make absolutely sure it works start->finish when I'm done with Grandia. ^Ditto for Alundra, which at first glance (2 hours of playing) works just fine but to be sure I will rush through to check for freeze spots. Confirmed that Legend of Legaia/Parasite Eve 2 will not boot (with any bios or via CDROM nor BIN/CUE. In addition to those two I cannot get Langrisser Final Edition (4+5) to boot, either... and I would really love to play them on this emulator cause it handles 2D games a lot better than EPSXE IMO. I'll also check on Arc the Lad 1,2 & 3 shortly when my friend returns the copies tomorrow. That's about it for now.

The games I've beaten on pSX:
-Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (default config, but frameskip off); -Persona 1; -Persona 2 (finished it today); -Rival Schools (finished lots of times already).
Anyway, I don't know why ppl are having sooo many problems with CSOTN. Its almost perfect for me, and works better than the real PSX! The only problem is a small pause when you open the menu, and in some dialogues, but its rare, and you just have to wait about 20 seconds and the game will go on!

^ The game hangs for me maybe 1/3 of the time that you load a new audio track. I first noticed it when I killed the doppel boss on the way to the library and then again trying to enter the library.
What version of SOTN are you playing? English, Japanese, Pal (was there a PAL?) and what kind of bios are you using, 1000 or 1001, etc?

I'm using the US english version, the 1001 bios, playing from an iso (I used Isobuster to make the iso), nothing special! This freezing problem used to happen when I was playing from a CD, but there's a way to get arround it too: when you are going to a place where the music changes, before changing screens, open the menu. If the game pauses, wait for 20 seconds and the menu will appear! Then exit the menu and go to the next screen. I got to the inverted castle using the CD!! And after I made the iso, this freezing problem disapeared completely! I've beaten the game with 198.2% and I had no major problem! Here's a pic on the inverted castle;

legend of dragoon is playable, you need to use a different bios for it to work. this is a common problem in most emulators. the bios to use is (I beleave) is 7502.
