I hope I will be understandable : I'm not an English native speaker; sorry if you already knew that bug.
Valkyrie Profile is accurately emulated by pSX (especially the sound part, which is one of the major aspects of the game ! There is only a little resonance problem, if I remember well, in the Save/Load screen but that's nothing compared to the overall sound quality).
But there is a problem that happens only during the battles phases (I precise I've tried VP under pSX from its version 1.0 to the recent 1.4) : regularly, the image "freezes", as if the screen was not properly refreshed. You have to "manually" refresh it, for example by triggering an attack; so when you knows the battle system, it is possible to finish the fights.
Unfortunately, as I arrived in Chapter Two, one monster used a more visually sophisticated attack (don't remember exactly the name...), and that totally halted the emulation : I always had image and sound, but I couldn't no longer do anything.
I hope it will be possible to fix that problem in a future version.
By the way, thanks to your Debug and logging tools (the GPU part is a great idea !), I am currently studying the PlayStation internals and I would like to ask you if you are planning to "insert" a bigger font for your "painting routine" (i.e. all that is not Windows Controls, which appear at a decent size); I have tried to change several parameters, but that didn't render better (but perhaps it's because of my system ?).
That would be a Gift from God for my weak eyes.
In all cases, thanks a lot for your hard work and for having released that fantastic emulator.
