Hey all, I am new here and was just wondering if it is possible to increase the speed at which the game fast forwards when you use the fast forward button?
Thank you

pSX Author once said that it'll go as fast as your CPU can handle at the moment.

So that means yes, it's possible, solidus. Install a faster CPU.

Hehehe.
Though you should also remember that since pSX only uses one core, it will not be useful to buy a quad core for faster fastforward. ;D

Disabling vsync might help, not sure. Can't be arsed to check it.. pSX automatically disables vsync when you press the fast forward key (and re-enables it again afterwards if it was enabled before).

Will it still disable vsync if its forced by the videocard's driver? Just wondering...

Will it still disable vsync if its forced by the videocard's driver? Just wondering... No - it can't in that case. You should never force vsync though because apps then can't tell if its on or off. Even D3D doesn't know if its on or off when you force it in the driver settings!

Why do I have a distinct feeling that I've read this, in this exact wording, somewhere else before... creepy. hmm, maybe it was in the readme.. lol

- Fast forward now temporarily turns off vsync
Probably because of this?

I also recall a newer discussion about it somewhere (maybe a year old), when I was reporting an odd problem with the skip-count and something related (with frame-skipping).
