Is there anyway to make it stretch to the full screen of my monitor? (i use alt + enter) but i want it to fill the entire screen instead of a square box in my screen. not good at coding so im not sure if this was something in the future you might add to it or Anyways very nice emulator works flawlessly on everygame i have tried

Hi,
When you press alt+enter it should expand to cover the whole screen. Make sure you haven't changed any options in control panel/display properties that might be forcing the resolution.
If you still have problems send me an email at psxemulator@googlemail.com and I'll see if I can figure it out.
Thanks for the feedback.

here is some screenshots of what i mean, you can see a black border on the images. It might be some bad setting on my part as im no really sure.. all my normal pc games fit just fine.. It isnt that big of deal either way, as i said this is a GREAT emulator you have made and i ant wait to see further development on it

i think these borders are needed to keep the correct aspect ratio of PSX vidéo...
anyway, i didn't saw any option wich could activate a "stretching/no aspect ratio"... maybe in a future release if the author thinks it's worth the effort.

Ah - I see what you mean now. Yeah - this is to keep the correct aspect ratio. The resolution for NTSC on a TV is something like 640x448 so it doesn't quite cover a 640x480 display. I expect the other emulators probably do something similar. btw: lummy - you have greate taste in games SOTN rules!

SOTN rules
PS: Goodluck on the PS2 emulation as i know it is hard coding lol.

SOTN does indeed rule. First game I tried, and it worked perfectly. Not only that, but a lot of advanced framebuffer effects worked too, like the first boss still-frame that rotates and falls away from the screen then burns up...flawless.

My first bug report! To do with screen size: I've noticed that some games actually stretch passed the bottom of the window, so that the bottom part of the screen is cropped off (true in fullscreen too). It could be 512 high screens getting cropped to 480: I haven't fired up my plugin to verify the PSX resolution yet And example is on the race track in Ridge Racer Type 4: the screen is cut off through the speedometer in the bottom right of the screen.

aha - good catch.
At a guess this is the PAL version of type 4? I've played (and love very much!) the NTSC version.

Correctomundo I used RRT4 [PAL] extensively, due to Namco's heavy use of texture windows. I just checked, and it's running 320x256 non-interlaced in the race, so I am guessing it is getting cropped to 240 in height (looks about 16 pixels missing too).
