Hrm, well I was playin around earlier, and typically I don't touch gamma, but my finger slipped when I was hitting the brightness increase (heh i like bright stuff @_@) anyway to get to the point...
k I had brightness at like 1.07 or something, and well gamma was at default (0.0?) anyway, I was playing along and got to a boring dialog (or rather series of dialogs) in FFT so naturally I reached for the turbo button, and wham it zero's the brightness/gamma settings (not sure what else, but nothing else seems to be affected). Now if you hit the brightness again, it'll automatically go back to 1.07 and increase from there, but when you hit turbo you see it go back to 1.00 and 0.00 respectively for gamma and brightness settings.

========= crazy gamma/brightness settings, was toying around when I saw the post... making sure i knew what caused it, and yup... turbo button auto-zero's (my turbo is currently set to enter on the numpad if it isn't too obvious)

Ah - actually... I know what this is. When you press fast forward it has to reset the D3D device to turn off vsync - I've obviously forgotten to restore the gamma curve somewhere. I'll fix this in the next version.
