You shouldn't eject while in game. It's used for swapping discs, usually on multi-disc games (like Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, etc).

1) Go back into windowed mode, I guess. I'm not aware of any other way =T 2) When a game tells you to swap a disc, press eject, and then load the new disc (you can use a physical drive or an image).

Just press Alt + Enter to switch between full screen and windowed mode, meude.
As far as 'eject CD' is concerned, it's for when you need to change discs - as when, for instance, you need to change to disk 2 in Chrono Cross. You use it when you get a message in the game to insert disk whatever.

Just press Alt + Enter to switch between full screen and windowed mode, meude. I miss just hitting ESC to go back to windowed mode When playing through Final Fantasy IX, I found that you could just insert a new disc without ejecting the old one and everything would continue on like normal. Handy!

When playing through Final Fantasy IX, I found that you could just insert a new disc without ejecting the old one and everything would continue on like normal. Handy! It probably depends upon the game as much as anything. As a guess, I'd say that if the game stops reading the cue/cd for whatever reason, then it's safe to do the eject/insert. Like when you're swapping discs for mult-disc games. If the game is still active, it'll blow up. Like, with that problem discovered with the MegaMan X6 with versions 1.0-1.4 of pSX and the game locking up - even though the music is playing, it's not actively reading the disc, so it's safe to eject/reinsert. But in v1.5, even though the screen goes blank, the game is still actively reading or something, and if you try and eject CD, pSX blows up.

hmm. Maybe the "eject CD" line should be renamed to "next CD" or "swap CD" then, to be more self explaining.
Maybe a shortcut key would be great to switch to the next CD to let you stay in fullscreen then.

Personally, I think Eject CD is just fine. Next CD isn't the only use, and Swap CD... well, I don't know, but Eject CD just sounds more correct than that.

Agreed. Eject CD certainly describes what it is meant to do.
