So here's how it used to work when it did. I load an image and it's all fun and games, works no problem. Then I would reset, and insert a new image, it would halt on the 'memory card & cd player' screen for a brief moment (autoejecting the first image I assume), and then it would start the new image.
Right now I can't load a new image after reset. It will just stop in the 'memory card & cd player' screen. Just resetting the emu will work fine and the currently loaded image will start again, as it should. So the real problem has probably got something to do with ejecting the image (assuming that that when inserting an image it autoejects the old one). And let me clarify a bit. Emu doesn't crash or hang, I can move the cursor, browse the memory card menu and whatnot. Basically it acts as if no game was inserted at all, but inserting one doesn't do anything. This had been mentioned in couple other random threads in the past, and it was fixed at some point, but now it's back.
As far as I can see, 1.6 and older are broken, 1.7 and 1.8 work, and 1.9 and newer are broken again.
Tried on 1001 and 7001 bioses.
Can anyone confirm the versions, or am I just going crazy here?
edit: Clarifications on the versions and other stuff.

Well I can confirm this problem is a sorta "sometimes it happens, other times it doesn't" for 1.10 when I try switching.
Although I'm using the 101 BIOS.

Confirmed on v1.10 using Windows Vista. I thought the problem was just inconsistent behavior loading images, but now that you mention it, it does seem linked to either resetting or ejecting an image.
