when i download 1.7 the emulator programme isnt in the file folder. Infact it ismt in 1.6 or 1.5 for me so i can only have 1.4 which crashes when i turn it on even though i have the Direct X updates and the Bios. Can somebody please hellp me???

Could you try to explain a little more your problem. If you speak french, you can try to state the problem in french too. We might be able to help you.

well , when i open the psx 1.7 rar/zip folder the psx emulator isnt there. Nor is it for 1.6 or 1.5. This means i can only have 1.4 or under which used tow ork for me, but anytime i start them up it craches my computer so i have to restart it. I was wondering if i could get 1.7 in an different way???

Well I don't understand why the file is not there, by the way is it psxfin.exe that is missing ?

Where are you downloading it from, help1for1me?
Yes, psxfin.exe is the executive file, i.e. the actual emulator.

im downlooding it from psxemulator.gazaxian.com, and yes psxfin.exe is missing from it.

Are you extracting the contents the right way? I'm guessing that the file your'e missing is psxfin.exe since it is the only necessary file needed to run it. Anyways, I'll just send you the file in your email.

Just tried it; executive is in the .rar file - no problem. Something occurs to me, though, help1for1me - is there a file called just 'psxfin' rather than 'psxfin.exe' in the downloaded file?

there is no file at all called psxfin in the .rar file

i got 1.7, but every time i tried to load it up my computer crashes when the second window trys to open up.

What version of Windows do you have, what are your system specs and does it ever ask you if want to save a crash dump?

i have xp, and i cant acces my system specs because for some reason i cant acces system in the controll panel

Try going to My Computer and on the left should be "View system information." Sounds like there might be a problem with your Windows though, a clean format always does the trick for me if my system starts acting up.
