It appears that pSX v1.11 (only tested in windows) will not accept input from the A, B, C, and D key in the configuration dialog both for Controller and MISC. This dose not affect game play as well where triangle is default to "A".

I can confirm this myself for Windows XP Pro. I've been unable to map keys A-D as well. Which can be a bit annoying personally, as I setup the control scheme similar to ePSXe, and that control scheme happens to use the C and D buttons.
Also, I tested it without the Frontend (for some reason, when I use the frontend with version 1.11, I get various problems. But since they're unrelated to this one...I'll mention them in another thread likely)

Mm, can you list the frontend bugs for me in the frontend discussion thread? Thanks Edit: And yes, [WIN] is an appropriate tag for the title -- it works just fine on Linux.

No need to apologize, I only wanted to keep the bug reports consolidated. Just be sure to look around a bit (more carefully) before jumping the gun next time

I also had this issue with trying to map A & D keys. Is there anything that I can do to provide information concerning this issue?

www.koders.com/cpp/fid033F85F7C6263DA9A539E0A8BB75DD85D6706F69.aspxIn psx.ini, look for the key you want to be A (for example) and set the value to 30 (the decimal value). To use B with a key, look for the corresponding entry in psx.ini and set the value to 48, etc. For the curious, the other keys are also listed in the link above -- you need to convert them from hexadecimal to decimal value.

I'm quite aware of it, since I'm over there regularly and said that I'd report it here.

Right, we all are... It's not much of a showstopper, and is easily worked around anyway :\
