^_^ I love pSX, it is the easiest, most reliable emulator out there. If I have to, I will just run the windows version inside an emulator, but anywho: Fedora and Ubuntu (And quite possibly more) will be moving/has moved to using pulseaudio for their default. ( Their website: www.pulseaudio.org/ ) At the moment, pSX will fail with the following error: theaceoffire@____:~/pSX$ ./pSX [src/linux/sound.cpp, line 215]: 'snd_pcm_hw_params_set_access(pcm_handle,hwparams,SND_PCM_ACCESS_MMAP_INTERLEAVED)' returned 'Invalid argument' Segmentation fault (core dumped) theaceoffire@____:~/pSX$
This error occurs on Ubuntu 7.10 after installing PulseAudio, so I assume the issue will come up again later this month (April) when Ubuntu 8.04 comes out. ^_^ Is there a switch or something that I can pass in to play without sound? K, thanks for all the hard work you have done for the community, and god speed to any other users out there with similar issues.
