Ok, I'll start all over again. The truth is that there's a lot to tell, and I didn't want to bother you writing too much. In any case, here it goes:
I'm playing legend of dragoon, CD 3. The problems starts at CD 2.
When I transform into a dragoon, after any action I make, the game just freezes. The characters move, if the background is one of the dragoon's background it looks fine, but I never get the command menu again, or I get it after for or five minutes (that's the longest I've waited). And, if by any chance, I transform into a dragoon an the emulator doesn't hang, it hangs in the next fight, or boss fight. This doesn't happen in CD 1.
I'm Using:
-Two BIOS: Scph1001.bin, and the PAL BIOS Scph7502.bin . The PAL BIOS I only used it to gain access to the menu screen, since the game freezes at the playstation logo (I've tried the methods I've found in various threads with this problem, but no one worked). The game works with the PAL BIOS, but the video works a little discontinous. I'm trying to say that it looks more like a succession of pictures, than like a video. The video is discontinous, but not slow. The rest of the time, I use the scph1001.bin BIOS, because the video works more continously.
-The game ID of the CD 3 is SCUS945.85, the ID of the CD 2 is SCUS945.84, and the ID of CD 1 is SCUS944.91. I don't have the CD 4 yet, I got all the images one by one from different sources.
-I didn't create the images, I just got them and start using them.
every image has the same: four files, each one with the name "the Legend of Dragoon cdx" x is the number of the CD. The extensions are .CCD, .sub, .cue and .img. The img file is the biggest one, so I always select that to play.
-I'm using version 1.6 and 1.9, and the same configuration for both, wich is the following:
-I use the keyboard to play.
-Sound: I use my sound device, sis 7018, because I obtained a little bit better quality. The frecuency is the same as emulated machine, I didn't touch the latencies; I selected reverb, and interpolate, because sync sound makes the game work slower.
-I selected Bilinear interpolation and Frame skipping. In Full Screen and in windowed screen I didn't select VSync, because the game works slower and very discontinous. I selected Pause when focused, I didn't selected to show status icons nor sleep when idle. Both PAL and NTSC resolutions in full screen are the default ones.
-I never used my Cd drive, so I didn't touch the configuration in any version of the emulator.
-To use version 1.9, you can get to the menu of the game in a previos version (like 1.6), make a quicksave, copy the quicksave into the [saves] folder in version 1.9, and as soon as you insert the image in version 1.9, read the quicksave.
And my computer has the following:
-Windows 98.
-Processor AMD Duron 1800, 1.2 GHz.
-256 MB of R.A.M., but it is sheared with the video card.
-I don't understand much of video cards, so I'll tell you what the Windows tells me and translate it: Sis 730, onboard, Frecuency of upgrading optimal.
-Sound Card Sis 7018.
-One hard drive with 60 GB (where I use the emulator) and the other with 40 GB (where the images are), both of them with 7200 r.p.m.
-Motherboard PCChips M810LR7. Frontside bus width 64 bits, 106 MHz of real clock, 211 effective clock.
-I don't use antivirus while playing (it's not even loaded in memory), I use a program that frees the R.A.M. when possible (freeram), and a program called "Process Viewer", that
So, I think Thant's all. I hope this thread is not as long as something annoying to read, because well, that's exactly what I try not to be. By the way, I'm not good at writing english, my brother is
. I'm the one who reads the forum, so I'll do a better effort next times.
If by any chance you read other threads of me, in those I'm not using this images, so don't worry.
I hope I've told at least everything needed this time.
Thanks for reading.
