patrickp: Society 101 as in some introductory class to society (lol there's no such thing, AFAIK, but I meant it in a way not unlike Anthropology 101 or Philosophy 101 in college, where they are introductory courses to the respective subject ).
orangesport: In the end of the day, the FAQ is there to help people get their answers more quickly, so reading it is a pretty damn good idea -- is THAT too much to ask? lol, do you seriously think waiting 2 days to be spoonfed an answer (which often comes directly from the FAQ anyway) is faster than having found the answer immediately from reading the FAQ? So no, there is no need for what YOU have to say/ask. I don't care how often you visit the forums, if you're going to participate in it, FOLLOW the rules. Or do you think people who only participate with one post every other month are allowed to ask where to download the BIOS?
Anyway, since this thread is a blatant breach of the RULES, and has long outlived its usefulness, I'm locking/archiving it. Since you obviously want to continue being spoonfed answers, here's MY new policy: I'm just going to lock/archive any thread not unlike this one. That kind of policy is standard procedure in another forum I moderate, but I didn't want to bring it to this one -- until now. Other staff members don't have to follow suit if they don't like, especially since it's not going to be an official rule, but that's just how I'M going to do things from now on. Thank you for not understanding -- maybe OTHER people will get the point sooner or later. I tried diplomacy with you, but since you clearly don't comprehend (or don't WANT to comprehend, out of pure laziness) what I have to say, it's just not going to work that way anymore.
Edit: BTW, you've earned yourself a 1 week ban. You were reminded to read the FAQ several times already (oh hey, that's one of the rules), and yet you clearly don't understand it. Any forum regular knows I don't normally behave like this, and Gamesoul Master can tell you that I'm normally SOFT with the rules. Heck, that's already evident from this thread alone, where I didn't even issue you your 5% pre-warning after repeated reminders. Too late now. You KNOW you earned this ban if I feel I have to issue it to you. So what, a 1 week ban when you rarely visit the forums in the first place, right? Heh an increasing warning level only means you're inching yourself closer to a permban. If enjoy being a martyr, so be it, but I'm not going to show sympathy to someone who defies the rules multiple times after multiple warnings, and retorts as if he were in the right.
You probably think I'm "the evil rule-stickler administrator" of the forum common to many/most other forums now, huh? If so, then I must say, I was being nice earlier (I could've banned you after your first reply to patrickp), and even told you personally that my rant was not targeted at you. Since you decided to take it personally, and decided to complain about *my* fairness -- yes, fairness -- I can only see it as you begging for this action to be taken.
