I have noticed the following problems with pSX in Linux:
1. Assumes the pSX config file is going to be in the same directory as the pSX executable.
2. Can not find psx.ini even if it's in the same directory as the pSX executable, if pSX is launched from a symlink
3. Does not create a .psx configuration file/folder in users' home directories; must either unpack pSX to a temporary location, configure as a normal user, and then move to a permanent location (/usr/local/, for example), or must run as root to configure correctly. Either option precludes a user from reconfiguring the program conveniently; the problem cannot even be ameliorated by symlinking psx.ini to a file in a user's home directory, etc., because that would make it impossible for other users to access the config file.

Indeed, not a bug report if multi-user support was never implemented in the first place. Since there already is another request/suggestion thread for this very behavior, I'm archiving this.
