I've noticed when you play an .ISO file the sound has a tendicy to skip its even more noticable and constant in the v. 1.12.

Which operating system are you using? Have you tried increasing the sound latency?

Are you saying that you've ripped the same game in multiple formats, compared them, and heard a difference in the sound?

Is this in particular games or all games, deadlus? I would suggest you read Things to Remember when Posting Reports before posting again - and particularly, a rundown of your system including, as pSX Author asks, your operating system(s) is required.

I'm sorry about that okay here's the lowdown:
I have a e-machines Pentium Celeron D (Dual core processor), Intel graphics accelerator, 3.33 ghz, 512 mb, windows vista Premium x32. To answer the second question, Yes, but that doesn't seem to work (in fact, i don't think sound latency works period) the third question, No, i didn't rip the game i just downloaded the .bin and iso and did "File > Insert CD Image > game of choice" and played from there.

A few points, deadlus - first, sound latency can make a great deal of difference in Linux and, since you'd neglected to mention what operating system you use, it was a necessary question. It does make a difference in Windows, as well.
You've also still neglected to provide some rather obviously necessary information - what sound card are you using and what game are you trying to play?
However, the bottom line is that you should have read the announcement at the top of this and every other page in the forum:
The reason for this is that downloading games is illegal and, in common with most other emulation forums - and forums in general - will not be supported here.
However, there are other reasons for not downloading games, and it's likely you've discovered one - downloaded games are frequently faulty. The reason is that the people posting them rarely care whether they work or not - they just want to post lots of games to try to look good. Playstation games are difficult to rip properly, and illegal game providers rarely bother to make the effort.
Another reason is that it's so easy and cheap to get most Playstation games, new and shrinkwrapped. Look on ebay or Amazon if there aren't any games dealers selling cheap Playstation games in your area. Most games can be found for very little money - so why waste your time downloading dodgy ones?

Why do I keep seeing these "can an admin delete this post please" posts every now and then, patrickp? Suddenly there's no option to delete it? What do you write before you end up editing it? ;D

What happens, melanogaster, is (usually because I'm tired, I guess) that I click the quote link instead of the modify one and wind up making a new post instead of modifying the old one. Since you can only delete posts in the Game Compatibility thread, if I do this anywhere else, I'm left with a post I can't delete... Look at the post _you_ just made. Is there a delete option?

Strange. I don't get one. I've spoken to Ultima before about this, and my impression is that's what he sees, too - although it may be he's taking my word for it as, as an admin, he probably gets a different display anyway.

I created an artificial limitation for post deletion only because of people that keep deleting their posts to cover their tracks. That screws conversations up, and makes it look like people are talking to themselves. I really didn't want to do it, but got fed up with threads that ended up like that. If there are still contentions about this, feel free to make a separate thread about it so I can see how many people also dislike it, I guess.

So how come Melanogaster still gets a Delete option, Ultima? BTW thanks for deleting that post!

I guess the limitation Ultima set is probably around the 150-posts-per-day mark -- less than that, you can delete; anything above that mark, you can't. So that's why I get the option and you don't.

As I see it, it's probably a browser thing (I use a CSS attribute selector to do the deletion disabling, which isn't exactly supported well on all browsers). At any rate, since the game is downloaded, we know where this thread is going: Archive deadlus: If you ever get around to confirming this with multiple, real games, feel free to create a new bug report about it. With more details about how you tested.
