I'm using a PSX 2 USB converter and it works just fine so far. It's plug n play of course...gotta love it.

Hi, there are various controller related issues atm - I will try to work on them for the next version. I'm also having problems to configure a Logitec with analog sticks. It works ok in "normal pad" mode but if I try to select another one the emulator crashes. This is the error: .\src\win\joystick.cpp.658: 'joydev[dev]->CreateEffect(GUID_ConstantForce, &eff, &rumble[dev], NULL)' returned DIERR_INVALIDPARAM: An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function, or the object was not in a state that admitted the function to be called. I hope it can help. I also noticed that the emu stutters badly when running in windowed mode. It's odd because the CPU usage is EXTREMELY low, and the games are smooth as silk in fullscreen. Last note: it didn't want to run without wnaspi32.dll I managed to copy it in the game directory from a cd burning program but it something that may create problems to other users.

THE BEST CONTROLLER TO USE FOR PSX IS A PSX CONTROLLER GET A SMARTJOY USB TO PSX ADAPTER AND PLUG IN A NORMAL PSX CONTROLLER ITS AWESOME THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT IT SOMETIMES DOESN'T WORK WITH USB2.0 PORTS NOT ALWAYS THOUGH AND IVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH 1.1 PORTS THIS IS THE ADAPTER THAT I HAVE www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=302&products_id=3833&likref=smartjoy.comI PROBOBLY SHOULD TURN OFF CAPS BUT, WELL IM BORED I HAVEN'T TRIED THE XBOX 360 CONTROLLER YET ALTHOUGH I GOT A XBOX (SmartJoy® X) USB ADAPTER AND ITS PRETTY SWEET I PREFER THE ORIGINAL BIG XBOX CONTROLLERS OVER THE LITTLE WIMMPY ONES OH AND ALL PC CONTROLLERS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Radioshack sells a psx to usb controller adapter for $10.99 www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2036260&cpJust call up your local radioshack and ask if they have catalog/SKU # 260-0304 But remember that support is not complete yet in pSX, but it works awesome in other apps/games/emulators. That's the same thing I use, except mine is a whitish color and it came with a mini-cdr driver disk. It works perfectly with pSX (rumble as well) using a Dual Shock2 controller.

I do like using my SCPH-110 controller (PSOne version of the SCPH-1200) with my PSX-to-USB adapter. Using an adapter is the way to go. There are obviously better ones than mine, but at least mine has slots for 2 controllers, and I have an abundance of PSX, PSOne, and PS2 controllers (I distinguish a difference between PSX and PSOne controllers, since they technically have different SCPH codes).
