So, I hope you guys are not all about emulation, because this game is legendary. I didn't go with the Wii version, for two reasons. One, I don't have the cash to shell on a new console, and two, I want to test the Wii control system before I go buy it.
So I preordered the Gamecube version, and it totally delivers. So far I've played maybe two hours, and I'm hooked completely. If the game keeps up with the pace and awesomeness it has started on, it will most definitely be one of the best Zelda games ever. One of the best adventure games as well.
Don't miss it.

Yep, this game is awesome.. I order everyone to play it at once ;p I got the wii version and its definately very nice (even though it is really a GC game) - it looks absolutely amazing for a GC game. I just wish I had more time to play it

I haven't missed it, that's for sure. Finished the game a few days ago. I still wanna strangle Midna... I hated her attitude so much for the first third of the game or so. Other than that, it was a pretty awesome game. Very enjoyable as a Zelda game. Of course... Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past are still my favorites, but this one is right under them.
Should mention I played through the Wii version. They did some cool things with the motion sensing, but... I really think attacking could've been done better. Not that it was bad or anything, but... the way they did it, I almost wanted to say "Why did they even bother?"

We're open to anything game related I guess. I was going to get it last week at Circuit City for 37.99 (which is the cheapest I've seen it at any of the retail stores) because I'm getting my little brother a Gamecube for Christmas but I didn't get the game because I decided to get Lego Star Wars II so me and my little brother can play a two player game together. Damn, I should have got it though, that was a good opening price. If it's as good as OOT then I'll get it. Give us the full review when you beat it, Mika. Don't rush it to get us the review, it takes all of the fun out of it .

Yeah, I'm rather curious to hear how the GC version compares to the Wii version. I wanted to get it for the GC, but my roommate wanted to utilize the Wii's capabilities, so I just decided to to get the Wii version instead. Spent a good week or two playing it... I'll probably play through it again soon. Either that or I'll play Master Quest, as I haven't played OoT in a while (considering I've beat it so many times I've been waiting until I've forgotten some of it to make it more fun... XD).

Me and my step grandpa love this game. This time he run around as a wolf part of time. Too bad that Nintendo didn't make games for computers.

I read from a review that Wii version is mirrored from the Cube version. That is to say that in Cube version Link is lefty, but in Wii version he is righty. Now, I can understand the need to change the sword hand to match the wiimote hand, but mirroring the whole world seems kind of overkill, don't you think? I haven't actually seen this myself as I haven't played the Wii version, but I don't think gamespot reviewers would lie about it either. Crazy stuff. I've only completed two dungeons so far and clocked in a fair amount of time already. There is so much to do between the main dungeons that I can easily get caught up doing stuff for hours before remembering what I was supposed to do next. As for Midna, I find it not to be nearly as annoying as Navi and that other fairy in Ocarina and Majora. "Hey, listen!"

True... I did hate Navi. But Midna... she degrades Link so much. Treats him like trash... I just can't watch it without wanting to strangle her. And yeah... there *is* so much to do... I like the minigames... sort-of wondering how those are handled on the GC, considering some of the minigames on the Wii version would be fairly difficult to do on the controller with the same level of precision.
Mirroring everything... now I *have* to get the GC version... just to see how true that is. Not to mention I originally wanted the GC version...

I've clocked in about 27 hours (or so) so far. It's kicking my ass all over the place. Talk about best early christmas present ever.

Alrighty, just finished the game. 56 hours is quite an impressive count for a Zelda game, for me atleast. I think I got pretty much everything aside from the Poes, which I have about 46 of the total 60 I think. I'm not much of a review writer, so I'll just say that it was truly legendary.
Only a few small complaints. The simple lack of horseweed for the most part of the game is really not nice. Everytime when I could have used a horse there is no weed to be found anywhere near me. Another thing is the birdweed. Quite useless if you ask me. Aside from the couple story related moments, I never used it. They could have made more use for it in general. And the last thing that comes to mind is this. When you have a full wallet, you can't pick money from chest if the coin is 20+. And I hate to leave chests behind in a dungeon. I can understand that it saves the money for not going waste, but I personally never had any money problems either way, so there really wasn't any point.
But those are small things compared to the whole awesomeness that is Twilight Princess.

Heh - me too - I didn't get all of the Poes either, or complete the cave of ordeals - although I did get to the last floor (three armour knights are just about impossible to beat using the wiimote). I think I did just about everything else though... took me about 68hrs. There is an item you can get that allows you to call Epona anywhere (can't remember now if it was a side-quest or part of the main quest). Yeah - I found this annoying too, but as the prize for completing one of the side-quests (collecting all insects) you can get a wallet that holds 1000. Also, you can use the magic armour to "waste" some money. Agreed - TP is one of the best games I have ever played. It definately lived up to the hype and is a worthy successor to OOT and the other Zelda games. Can't wait for the next installment now ;p

After all the great things I've heard about OoT, I suppose I should borrow my cousin's N64 to play it... xD
Too bad I've no GC or Wii, and no one I know has, so I can't play Twilight Princess ;\

I bought Twilight Princess for the GameCube the day it was released, but have yet to even tear the shrinkwrap. I'm looking forward to trying it... have heard great things about it.

I notice the game on GC and Wii is different. The maps and things are backward. lol
