Is it worth upgrading from v1.5.x to v2.0.x before they stop doing updates to v1.5?

Probably, as I'm sure extension developers have switched by now. Any extension or whatever keeping you from upgrading?

Besides which, most extensions (or the ones I'm using, anyway) would actually work in v 2.x anyway - it's just that they haven't been modified to recognise v 2.x yet. Nightly Tester Tools will fix that.

Any extension or whatever keeping you from upgrading? Not really. I just didn't get around to it when it came out, but after my wife's computer did the automatic update, it screwed up alot of her settings, so I put it off since I didn't want to have to screw around with the firefox settings on my computer.

One thing I have to say about Firefox 2.0... the text onscreen looks better. It used to look... a bit ugly. It seems, though, that they did some work on that. But... I'm also pretty sure that it uses more memory than 1.5 did, and it seems just a hair slower... other than those things, it runs quite fine.

I haven't done any thurough testing of both, but I'm using FF2 now. After some modifying (repositioning the tabclose button, hiding the big fat go button, among others), it's okay.

Well, I went ahead and installed 2.0.0.1 last night, and aside from the new 2.0 theme (why didn't they leave the 1.x theme available, I'll never know, but I had *finally* gotten used to it ), not much different. The memory usage might be a little better, but it's hard to say so far. No screwups with my settings either.
