OK... I recall a little talk here and there of this, but the few leads I found didn't really help so much.
What I'm looking for... is an N64 to USB adapter. I know there are a couple scattered ones like the Adaptoid (which only supports one controller and is $40) and the Trio Linker Plus (which not only isn't made anymore (thus hard to find), but also only supports one N64 controller at a time)... but I haven't found anything that'll support two N64 controllers at a time (or more, but 2 is all I need).
So I guess the question is clear... Does anybody know of a working adapter for at least two N64 controllers at a time? My Super Dual Box works perfectly fine for all my emulation needs... except for Project64. And since my dad and roommate both love playing a lot of multiplayer games for the N64... I'd really love to have an adapter so I can stop using PS1 controllers for an N64 setup. I could play many of these N64 games on the real system... but it's so much nicer to play on the emulator, especially since the N64 hooked up to the TV with composite hook-ups doesn't look so great.

I didn't find any adapter that would support more than one N64 pad at the time that would still be on production and available when I was searching for mine. It seems that all the adapter manufacturers think that GC pad works just as well, and N64 pad can be phased out. It's totally balls, but what can you do. I'm not very helpful am I?!

Nah, if nothing else, you're at least helpful in that I know that I'm not the only person coming up with zero results on this. Even a patient search through eBay listings didn't turn up any results. Maybe someone else besides us is more lucky or happens to have bought one or something... I just figure there has to be one out there *somewhere*... right...?

Damn... I almost feel like I'm getting the cold shoulder from some of the people here... I'm starting to wonder if I said something wrong at some point... And on a different note (in relation to this thread)... I still haven't found anything else. But apparently Wal-Mart sells a USB adapter that can handle a PS2, GameCube, and Xbox controller all at the same time, and it even has two USB ports on it. For $10. My friend from work was telling me about it. I never saw or heard of the thing though. Sounds like it may be interesting, especially since he said at least the GC part of it works wonderfully.

No, just that no-one knows any more than you about this, GM, I should think. Is it possible to use two adapters - after all, you should have plenty of USB sockets?

Yeah, that's probably your best and easiest approach. Rather than trying to find a converter that might not even excist, get two converters that work just as well. I for example have 3 free usb slots on the back of my comp, and if need be, could add another two in one of the card slot places with a cable from my mobo.

Yeah, on average I have two slots free, but if I only plug in cords I'm using at the time... I have 5 free out of 8. I was just sort-of hoping to avoid using more than one. I guess I'll go for using two, especially since there's a guy on eBay selling two of them together (the PS2/N64 one of course... the Adaptoid is very hard to find and still quite far out of the range I'm looking in). I don't really need the extra features of the Adaptoid anyway, since my controllers are all official ones and I have a bunch of 4x memory cards and not enough desire to transfer saves... certainly not enough desire to pay $30 more for each one. patrickp: Meh, I'm just used to seeing your sharp and witty responses to everything. You seem to be more busy lately, so I figured I'd call you out... XD

Well, I have been a bit busy recently. But, 'sharp and witty?' Are you trying to borrow money or something?

Damn, how'd you figure it out so fast?! eBay can break a person's wallet *really* fast... LOL.
