I don't know how tech-savvy you guys around here are, and if you have ever tried doing any maintenance to or tried to fix your old trusty console. But in case you have, and have found a good website with some instructions, care to share? I'm looking into possibly fixing mine. Long story short, five years (or so) back I opened up my console (which was still working but was showing signs of failing) in hopes of tightening a few knobs and screws and had a nice website with fairly simple instructions on how to do it. Well, after I did what I did and put the machine back together, it didn't quite work anymore. ;D Possibly the site I used had bad instructions or I just botched the work myself. Either way, I have long pushed the subject behind, but I figure I have to give it a shot sooner or later anyway. So, know any sites with detailed instructions and pictures? Hooray?

Which console, Mika? Heihachi seems to be into DIY consolation... ;D

Well, considering that the thread is called PlayStation maintenance, it's a good guess. ;D But if you want more specific, it's the first (I think) PAL region model that came bundled with DualShock, SCPH-7002.
