If you want us to help you, whickmemoh18, you have to help yourself. Which version of the emulator are you using, which version of the game (game ID is what we want; it'll be on the spine of the case and the label of the CD) and what BIOS? What are your system specs? Have you tried any other Playstation games?
What sort of condition is your CD in? Playstation CDs seem to be quite picky about their condition, particularly, for some reason, Final Fantasy ones. I've never had had trouble with Final Fantasy VII, although my copy was new and shrink-wrapped, and I take care with my CDs. I've had problems with Final Fantasies VIII and IX, though, with copies that were used, but looked OK - only minor scuffing; one CD in either set wouldn't play. My solution was to buy new - if you don't have a local outlet selling cheap Playstation games (common in the US, I understand), try ebay or Amazon. You'd be surprised how cheaply you can buy new, shrink-wrapped Playstation games.
