I just wanted to make this thread to express my appreciation for pSX. I really can't find the words to express just how much pSX means to me. thanks to the pSX author for deciding to release this wonderful project. in fact, i hadn't realized that playstation emulation had reached this level of maturity until recently as i had written of the possibility of any good playstation emulation when Bleem went belly up. So many people take emulators for granted and don't appreciate the years of hard work and dedication that goes into making them a reality so, i wanted to make this thread to give my appreciation and also to encourage others to do the same. part of the joy of releasing an emulator to the public in the first place is the positive feed back that one gets from greatful users such as myself. it's also a good idea for people to express there own appreciation as this will help to encourage the continued development of these incredibly time consuming projects that so often cut into other more important aspects of a programmers life. things like work, sleep and family just to name a few. this is also my first post so i would like to say whats up to all the moderators and positive contributors to this great forum.

Summarized translation of your post: pSX rocks ass! I think pretty much everyone here feels the same as you. If it wasn't for emu authors, we wouldn't have this great thing called emulation. Emulators don't just make themselves. It takes years of coding and knowledge to make something like an emulator. I hope that pSX knows how much we all appreciate the effort that he has put in his emulator over the years and I hope that there many more years to come. I know I'm getting all sappy but I have to get sappy and show my appreciation every once in a while just to let pSX know that we still appreciate his work since there really no other incentive for him to keep doing this other than our appreciative feedback and complements. I think that that's the motive of anyone who releases their hardwork for free on the internet. I also know how it feels to spend a lot of time on something to only have people who just want to download stuff but not take the 5 seconds to let me know that they appreciate the work that I have done. So yeah, I would also like to say thanks pSX! Keep up the good work.

Indeed. It'd be hard to show just how much appreciation I have for pSX Author's hard work, but the fact that I decided to stick around here and help whenever I can is enough of an indication. Especially since this is the only forum I've ever bothered to dedicate this much time to. I really do love this emulator, and I'm very excited to see where it goes in the next couple years. It has grown to become the greatest PS1 emulator out there, and it only gets better from here (yes ePSXe lovers, pSX *is* the greatest PS1 emulator now!).
Though I know pSX Author can see and feel our appreciation just by looking around at us all here, constantly using and helping others in the use of pSX... I definitely think that verbally showing appreciation is a big thing, as so few people do it, which I too know from experience... :/
Thank you pSX Author! May the reign of pSX continue for many more years to come!

Well, I think there have been some very good Playstation emulators since, Bleem!, cid67 - Bleem! was the first one I ever tried, and I still have my legitimately purchased copy somewhere. But then I moved on to ePSXe and was very happy with that for several years until pSX came along.
But pSX Emulator is certainly the best Playstation Emulator I've used. There are others, such as SSSPSX and Xebra that I'd like to spend some time with, but since that would also involve spending time in Windows, I'm not sure I will...

I certainly would agree that there have been some great emulators since bleem .it's just, i didn't look into them until about a month ago. i decided to try epsxe. that was a revelation for me but do to the fact that it wouldn't run every game that it could run without having to constantly be using different plug ins and configurations, i decided to move on and thats how i came to know psx.much simpler and i like that. also i'm not a fan of enhanced graphics, although a ntsc filter of some sort such as blargg's ntsc filter would be a good addition but that has been discussed before.

BIG QUOTE!!!! pSX is the best of the pSX emulator, full stop!!!! Xebra may be more compatible, but lack of ease of use, that is the first thing that an emulator should have!!! pSX will become better every release... and in the future (and I think that will not happen too late) it will be the 100% compatible pSX emulator (and not only in terms of games, but also have nice feature like multitaps, mouse, ecc...). Keep the good work pSX AUTHOR!!!

Office-party???!!!
For this, we should buy a Boeing 747, rip out the seats, build a huge bar, dancefloor and a stage inside, get Prince to play and fly across the world all night while going completely insane..

prince?! surly not that greedy you know what but I can just imagine a bunch of intoxicated party goers on a 747. one word, turbulence. LOL. at least i wouldn't have to drink much to feel like the floors is moving. I have to admit that would be fun. we could have the pilot go really high and then pull a vomit comet.
