I have been wondering for many years, if it was possible to reverse engineer and completely modify the Tekken 3 (PSX) engine to make a trilogy game with every single character from the first three games. Unlike Tekken Tag however, it would be a normal one-on-one fighter, but with the added 'retro' characters to make it a lot bigger. Midway did this for the consoles by somehow dragging characters from MK1 and MK2 into their Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 engine, and released it as MK Trilogy on the PSX, PC, and the N64 (in a lesser form). The down side is trying to look for people interested in PSX games (as in PlayStation 1), and dev stuff that is later than 1996 for DOS is a lost cause - Google also decided to make anything with PSX or PS1 in the name link to PlayStation. Of course, you end up with 4,225,593 records containing PlayStation with a 2, a 3 or the word Portable after it. On the other side of things, when you do find a forum, no-one ever replies, emails or PMs you at all. One man hacks can be done with simple games like NES ROMs but when it's a good couple of megs of code to look through it just isn't an easy job without someone else or a team looking at various parts. I've uploaded a text file of the concept, which you can find here.
