Hey nj7 try this when it freezes: re-insert again the CD or the image. It will boot!

You mentioned in one of your other reports, I think, nj7, that you were using an .iso format image. If you're using the same format for this game, that's the reason the music won't work.
The .iso format doesn't support multi-track images - and often the music, voices, FMVs etc in games is contained in these extra tracks.
Try playing from the original CD, or re-rip the game to a more appropriate format. .bin/.cue will work better than .iso, but the best formats are CloneCD's .ccd/.img/.sub and Alcohol's .mdf/.mds ones.

Same errors were reported for the PAL version of this game, as stranger90 pointed with with the reloading the image/cd to get the game to work. Music issues too. But we'll see if nj7 tries with a different image format anyways.

It's a iso that is in bin+cue format that I found off the net that I'm using and the ingame music works fine in ePSXe.....I'll look for another copy of the game elsewhere and see if that's the problem.....

You shouldn't say where you got your games from. Downloading them is illegal and blablabla; read the Announcement at the top of the page.

Melanogaster is quite correct, nj7. Downloading Playstation games is illegal and is not supported by this forum.
In addition, it is particularly unhelpful to post Compatibility reports based on downloaded games as, on the one hand, they are too often badly ripped and problems are due to this - we can waste an awful load of time trying to deal with problems that are are simply due to a faulty game copy. And, on the other hand, a downloaded copy of a game that would normally not play correctly may have been patched and play fine. This would be useful information if the copy was known to have been patched, but with a downloaded game, you have no idea. So, again, you're posting misleading information.
Many of these games are available cheaply and easily on ebay and Amazon. I just took a quick look, and it wasn't hard to find new copies of this game going for £3 ($6 US). So, what's the point of downloading an illegal and probably faulty game when you can get legal, new copies so easily, and rip them yourself - the only way to ensure you get a decent rip?
Please do not post reports based on illegal and possibly faulty games again. You just waste everyone's time by doing it.
