Game Title: Speed Freaks Game ID(s): SCES_017.63 pSX Version(s): 1.13
I re-tested this game on my father's laptop and I assume that works PERFECT! The DVD burner mounted on the laptop reads the subchannels (which my two drives on my PC don't), infact the game is protected (hangs on loading screens at the 2° track of the tournament).
I didn't notice any grapichal glitches. Just that the sound and the music keeps playing while pausing the game (they should mute), over than... doesn't crash anymore!

Has anybody found a reverse to the "NTSC game, use PAL bios" for PAL games? Does a NTSC bios do anything?
Also, since this game is mod protected and it's hanging on a track, I'll still have to chalk this up as unplayable.

Since mod protection seems to be exclusive to NTSC-US games, smeg, and this fix is specifically for mod protection, I'd doubt it.

I think that what stranger90 is saying, smeg, is that on a machine with an optical drive that reads subcode properly (his dad's laptop), the game works perfectly. On a machine with drives that don't read subcode properly (his own), the game hangs on some loading screens. This is typical of copy protection.
Am I right, stranger90?

Yeah, I can't even make it work with a ppf patch in my PC

Ok, that makes sense. I'll have this entry adjusted for the next update.
