Game Title: Final Fantasy VII Game ID(s): SCES_008.67 pSX Version(s): 1.13
Small bugs really, that also appear when you place the ps2 with the "smoother" option for ps1 games.
Take for example the mako reactor at the start. The doors which require codes to open are not in alignment with the surrounding area and so you can see through to the other side.
If you find it hard to see what I mean, I will upload the tutorial I have made and you will bse able to see better.

I don't think I have this issue. The game was perfect for me, except that the sound was not 100% accurate.
Have you checked and made sure that your discs are not dusty or scratched? If so, you might need to get them repaired or replaced.

If the screen has loaded, it has nothing to do with discs or scratches., Look at the tutorial I made> www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HjQzQSbsRAFast forward to 5 minutes. You can see the door. Now watch it open. They are not aligned and this doesn't happen in the actual game I don't think ------

second problem. May be an emulator issue.
I sent FF7 to my friend. FF7 runs slow for her in window mode...skips a lot no matter if the "skip frames" option is checked or not.
In full screen works fine.
Her system is good. Athlon 64 and 2 GB ram.
It may be because it is windows vista (home premium)?

Some people seem to have freezes in certain places in the game, aleksandar2, but these usually seem seem able to be worked round, unless they're due to playing exclusively on save states - in which case, you'll hopefully learn not to go without memory card saves. It's possible that some, at least, may be due to bad rips, and points up the inadvisability of downloading games - which, apart from being illegal, usually provides you with poorly ripped games and problems.
The freezes also seem to be specific to the NTSC version, as well - I've never had a freeze in my PAL version, playing from the original CDs or from .ccd/.img/.sub images.

I've played all the way through to disc 3 without any freezing problems (except when I was using a few cheats for my special playthrough... 8 normal-growth slots on the starting weapons, but never upgrading to newer weapons). Besides using cheats, I have not had any problems at all (playing from ccd/img/sub ripped from my original discs, and a few sessions using the original discs when I didn't have the hard drive space to unzip my image files).

cheers, and I haven't tried. A friend of mine hs the game and I have given her the emu, so she will no doubt report to me any problems. I haven't encountered any yet aside from what I mentioned.
For me it runs smooth as a whistle

seiferalmasy - First problem is just the way the ps1 renders graphics. The moving doors are 3d and the backgrounds are all pre rendered 2d, that's why there's a slight problem with alignment, it happens all the time on a real console. In some games the textures don't even line up properly and you get little white lines of space appearing in between. Second problem is just a typical windows issue. Always run things full screen for proper performance.

That is the point, If i remember right, on the real console, the alignment is fine (not ps2, i think that again goes off when some of the additional options like smoothing are added)
