The -r switch can sometimes help things like this. Fast forwarding right before the freeze can occasionally help.
On a non-compatility note, how are you playing the game (image, disc)? Have you tried ripping a ccd/img/sub image from the original disc, and how is the condition of the original disc?

Also, the old question, dragonzeyez, are you playing on save states or memory card saves?

First off thank you for responding so quickly. As for how i am playing i have just been playing off the original discs. And i have tried making an image through nero but it doesn't come up in those formats. And as for saving i have been using them both. I have been trying to use save spots when ever i can but use the save states from time to time.

Using CloneCD or Alcohol 52/120% (either one) will allow you to rip ccd/img/sub, which is probably your best option. Though you can use Nero if you want (since mounting an image is normally just as acceptable as inserting it directly).
What about my first two suggestions and the condition of the disc? You can use Ultima's pSX Frontend (linked in my sig) to use the -r switch if you're not comfortable with command-line.

Well the condition of the discs is good. There brand new and have no marks or anything. As for the -r I'm guessing I'd have to run that through the cmd line? Run psxfin -r ?

Oh And i tried making a cd image through Alcohol 120 but it came up as an mdf. How would i get it to one of the ones you suggested? And which one is the best one? Not really to familiar with the program.

mdf is fine as a format. Use the frontend by Ultima to set up the games, it is very good

First, mtatomic64, it's not a good idea to post your email address on a public forum - it's likely to get picked up by spammers and wind up on spamming lists. If you do need to post an email address, do it as I've changed yours. That's still not completely spambot-proof, as it's such a widely used munge that a lot of spambots probably correct munges like that automatically. The way to think is to present your email address so that a human will easily see what the address is meant to be, but a spambot won't. Second, if you want to give people a save file, you have to make sure it's a file for the same version of the game as they have, otherwise they won't be able to load it. What you want to do is make sure you post information about what version of the game you have, host your file somewhere (use QuickSharing.com for instance) and post a link to it here. Then, whoever does it for you can host their version of the file and post a link for you to download it. That way you don't need to post your email address on a public forum, either. Edit: BTW have you tried playing from the original CDs?

Even if its your friends copy, its illegal, lost or not.
Anyway, it's very much possible that your burned copy is not a good copy and we can not offer support for that. The game media (disc) is the issue not the emulator. As per the rules, Locked and Archived.
