This never used to happen until i reformatted my computer. Basically When i play the game i will usually hold down the turbo button. When i get into a battle it will enter the battle but it won't move on in the battle until i let go of the turbo button.
Basically it will show the battle, but the words that come up at the start of battle won't unless i let go of the button. Also when i use contact on a demon, we won't start talking until i let go of the turbo button, but it seems to work fine with contact after the first time i make contact in that battle.
Kind of weird how it only started happening after i reformatted my computer.
Just found out that it does it if u hold turbo while i'm switching places and such, the screen will turn dark like it normally does but the next place or map won't show unless i let go of turbo, i'm confused why this happens.

I'm pretty certain the emulator has always done this in various games (I've seen the same plenty of times before in other games).

The reason my questions seemed a bit odd in the other thread we discussed this, was because I thought you were holding down a turbo button on your controller. I didn't realize you meant *Fast Forward*, the Backspace key on the keyboard.
Since it's possible that maybe you had something set in the configuration that didn't get set this time... have you tried playing around with some of the options on the Graphics tab in the configuration? Specifically, options like VSync, Sleep When Idle, and Frameskipping. It's possible that maybe one of them affects that kind of thing.
Honestly though, I don't have a solid answer for you, because this kind of thing has happened to me in a few games too. I never bothered to try and fix it though... my solution was just to let go of the Backspace key for about a half-second and then hold it down again.

Yep, tried fiddling around with things like v-sync and such when i first noticed it happening. I probably wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't just start happening after i reformatted.
