I'm currently playing FFVII and initially tried to play with the Dualshock function (using my Dualshock 2 controller with a Super Joy Box 3). After it didn't work I got here and found this:
"FFVII *doesn't* support analog controls, so you'll have to make sure that the controller is set to "normal pad" in the configuration menu."
Didn't the real PS game support the Dualshock function? is this a problem with the emulator? More specifically I would like to know: is it possible to use this game, with Dualshock, in an emulator at all?

That the hardware accepts input from analog controllers doesn't mean all games support it. The game doesn't detect and accept analog input -- it isn't an emulator-specific issue. As such, the only way to fake analog support would be to map the d-pad buttons to the analog axes.

Please Remember to check the back of the Game's Case for Requirement/Compatibility Logos (this case the "Analog Control Compatible" mark) or in the Manual specifying support for the control type. If the game (or specific version) does support the function, do report this for compatibility.

Ok. Thank you all for responding. BTW I completely forgot there was a "Analog Control Compatible" mark.
