I'm running Ubuntu (Kubuntu) 9.04, pSX 1.13, using a pIII Adapter and a DualShock2 (SCPH-10010) controller. The controller is blue, if that matters. XD Until recently (just about an hour ago), I've been able to play games fine with just one small hitch--I could either turn on the "Analog" option on the controller and use the left analog stick, or I could leave it off and use the D-Pad, but not both at the same time. Really, I was perfectly fine with this. Unfortunately, I made a mistake somehow. My left analog stick sometimes started out already a little bit in the "left" position, which made my controller go left of course. After snapping it back and forth a little bit during gameplay, it would go back to normal, but I was kind of tired of doing so, and remembered I had a program called "jscalibrator" which I thought might help. After running the calibrator, surfing the web, getting some leftover pizza, and looking at some great porn, I decide to go back to playing my game... Only to find out that my direction pad and my analog stick aren't doing anything. I go to my configuration to try to reset the values, and it's only taking input from the actual buttons (Triangle, Square, R1, etc.). Does anyone know how this could have happened, and/or a way in which I can rectify it? Thanks in advance for the help, guys.

Admins, please close or delete. >_<
I feel so embarrassed, but it seems the problem was solved easily by unplugging my controller and plugging it back in. I suppose something came loose.

do not use jscalibrator, it is crap
sudo apt-get remove jscalibrator
instead install
sudo apt-get install joystick
and run:
jscal -c /dev/input/js0
