Wow this place is still alive? 3 years since I've been here...
Yes, I do hope all is well with pSX-Author at this point as all purpose Wikipedia has this project listed as DEAD.
It would be a nice jesture to release the project as open source though, a new version, or both.

Dead is such a strong word, I would say it's on Hiatus.

Dead is such a strong word, I would say it's on Hiatus. I think 3 years is long enough to declare it legally dead.

I did try to contact pSX Author shortly after my last post but he has yet to reply back to me.

he abandoned the project for sure . thats sad but 4 years ! no updates ! even a single post on a dedicated forum , that translates to me >> the project is dead !

Project isn't abandoned. Several people can confirm this.
pSXAuthor has been busy with real life job, life, and other commitments for the past few years. Rest assured however 1.14 is still being worked on. From what I do know.... he did supposedly donate a lot of the 1.14 code into the MESS project for it's PlayStation 1 emulation core.
The 1.14 source however is in the hands of several people for safe keeping and is updated accordingly.
Remember pSX is NOT an open source project and is not under a license that allows the sources to be published without the author's consent or side projects based off the sources without consent either.
pSX isn't dead until pSXAuthor says it is.
If you want to play the latest pSX code, download MESS and use it, otherwise stick to 1.13 until an official update is made.

pSX isn't dead until pSXAuthor says it is. Funny, this means that if the Author NEVER comes back to say anything, the emulator won't ever be considered dead?!? Neat!

he was just stating the obvious ! ---------- if the project is not dead, and hes is extremely busy, why do i always see him online on my googles buddy list? psxemulator is not his real life email address ,that we could justify his online presence by saying excuses like ,he might be online doing his job! .
so he is online with his emu email, wondering around , that means to me he is not that busy with making games and stuff ! and again i think he lost his interest on PSX so he left it . and this place is not closed because it is hosted on a free forum hosting service , so that the maintenance cost is zero . so at last , all evidence on being a dead project is on the table , how can some one deny it! (from 2007 to 2012!,man 5 years! is passed without a single update!! get serious guys)

Every time i look over this forum I expect to see at least something from the author... and in 2 years... nothing.
It has got to the point that I would rather author came out and said it was dead rather than just not bother to post anything leaving the small hope we may see 1.14.

There we go, a glimmer of hope thinking the next pSX will be out, and it's always a disappointment. Means that we'll never see v1.14 in a distant future. pSX Author, c'mon, what are you doing so important to don't tell us what's going on? Dropping by and saying "hello" will relight hope again...
