Will the rumble feature ever work in this controller in this emu?
Just for reference, this is the "PS2" controller. All buttons work fine, just not the rumble. When ever I try to turn it on, the controller quits working in the emu.
Is there plans for support for this in the future or is there a work-around to get it to work?

Hm, but are you sure it's not the drivers? I once had problems with an otherwise-perfectly-working XBOX controller as well, but after switching drivers, I was finally able to use it in pSX. Mind you, it was just a configuration problem (the controller configuration went berserk when trying to configure), but I thought it might help if you could find another driver.

heh, this is something that is really going to bake your noodle.....I AM using an xbox driver to run my psx pad....... confused? let me explain....
I came accross an xbox-to-psx pad cable in a used game store, and what I have done was added a usb plug to the xbox side (because all what the xbox controller is is a modified usb hub), so thus, I can use a psx pad on both the xbox and PC without having to cut any cables or re-wiring anything. This works because in the cable itself on the psx connector side, there is a "converter chip" in there that handles the signal, so when you plug the cable into a PC usb port without the psx pad attached, the PC picks it up as an xbox controller, so that is why I am using xbox drivers to power my psx pad...
Anyway, through the driver settings, everything works correctly, including both rumble motors. The only problem that I have is that this setup wont let me switch between analog and digital mode on the controller (no matter what, the analog light stays lit).
The driver that I am using is the XBCD 1.07 driver to power the pad.

I actually use XBCD as well. I'm not sure, but to me, it's more likely that the PlayStation->XBOX connected to XBOX->USB is causing the problem, not a driver or pSX bug.

It very well could be, but what baffles me is that through the driver settings, both motors work properly on the psx pad, and the xbox controller also works withough any problems (but I have yet to try it on pSX though). The only reason why I went with this setup is because.....
1: Dont have to chop up a psx pad cord to wire it to the LPT port, which means I can use it for the PC, xbox and PSX without having to cut wires.
2: I dont like the xbox controller setup. Yes, others like it, and good for them, but I, myself think it sucks, IMHO.
3: getting the pad to work properly through the LPT port is a pain, expecially if you want rumble support.
ah well, thanks anyway for the input, I apperciate it.

Eek didn't notice that you said it was working in the driver settings earlier O.O Um, that is odd indeed... Might the rumble be weak? I found that XBCD's rumble felt... different... from the other XBOX controller driver (Tiger something). Anyway, if switching drivers doesn't help, I've no clues as to what might be causing the problems, and it *could* be pSX, I'm not sure anymore.

lol, the only think that felt odd was having rumble working on a psx pad on the pc.
seriously though, the motors didnt feel weak (to me at least), but it could be a combatibility issue. the scph-10010 pad is not listed in the first place, so it very well could be a compatibility issue.
in the end, it would be nice to get it working, but all in all, this is a VERY good psx emu. The only problem I have with it (besides the rumble issue) is when I try to change the res. settings from default to something else, I get an error "Unable to initialize d3d device, retring in 1 second." This happens even if I change the settings to what my desktop is set to.
