Hi,
Clean ini file/install of pSX 1.4.
I have two Saitek P880's. Listed under the Configuration -> Controllers 'tab' -> Device 'section' pulldown:
None Saitek P880 Pad Saitek P880 Pad
However, both listings of the Saitek P880 Pad references the first P880 controller only. The second one is not recognized or mappable.
pSX.ini file list it as such: JoystickDevice1=5089b7526e45da118001444553540000 JoystickDevice2=5089b7526e45da118001444553540000
In the previous version (1.3), both controllers were recognized and mappable (Had separate Device Identifications). However, the other issues were evident (I.E. Not saving controller settings when exiting).
The above is all true whether I'm mapping Port 1 or Port 2.
EDIT/MODIFY: Here is how the two controllers appear in pSX.ini for version 1.3:
JoystickDevice1=f0ddec0008deec00f0ffdb0000000000 JoystickDevice2=a8ddec00c0ddec000000000000000000

I think an IP block is in order.

I think an IP block is in order. Unfortunately he has a dynamic IP on an ISP which appears to be in the Philippines (or is using a proxy there) - I don't really want to block the entire range.

Yeah, that's true! This computer is not even mine. I'm just renting it on a CyberCafe. Too bad for you. This is my lost post anyway. Just want to say your emu S U C K and incomplete. There are some out there much better on this one. Good Bye!

Well...I would like to 'thank' "amba" for hijacking my post Really, if you were going to do something *that* stupid, couldn't you have started your own thread Anyhow, back to the matter at hand is this a confirmed problem? Does anyone else have two USB gamepads that are the same model/type, but pSX 1.4 only recognizes one of them? I normally would type "any" response is appreciated. However, seeing where "amba" decided to take this thread , let's just say any helpful -on the topic- response is appreciated. -Trebor

(and would probably be a driver bug). If you email me at psxemulator@googlemail.com I'll try to send you an exe with some extra debugging code in the next few days. Unfortunately I don't have two of the same pad so this is all I can think of! Thanks.

Every other emulator and game they both work fine. Additionally, as I stated in my initial post, in version 1.3 of pSX they both work fine as well. In version 1.3, both gampads are listed in the device list the same way via the GUI as they are in version 1.4, but had separate mappings as devices in the pSX.ini file. Unfortunately, it appears while some things were fixed for the controller settings/setup in version 1.4, another thing appears to have been broken concerning device detection. I appreciate you looking into this matter, and will send you an email. -Trebor

Hi pSX Author,
I sent an email well over a week ago. However, I haven't received a response. I just want to ensure that you received my message.
The issue still persist. pSX v1.4 is the only application/emulator with the issue. Again, pSX v1.3 the problem recognizing the second controller was not a problem.

Hello,
I'm sorry - I haven't had a chance to look at this yet because I'm very busy with work atm. I will try to find some time this weekend.
