At a certain point in FF8 my whole comp freezes up and I have this repeating msg: r3000: executed illegal opcode (and then a long string of #s). What is going on? I really like this prog. Really don't want to lose my game.

Details please.
Is this running off a disc or image? Is the disc original or a copy? Have you checked if the image is corrupted? What's your operating system? (Windows XP, Windows 98, etc)

Thanks for answering. I'm XP- disc- original. I don't know how to check if image is corrupted.

Same thing for me- posted in another thread but i suppose it makes more sense here--
Let me guess kat- at the end of disk 1 just after edea kills deling? seems to be a lot of people having a problem right there..
in the time being kat- I transferred the memcard to epsxe, loaded and got through there just fine.

PSX author- Minidump and savestate sent to your googlemail address from vdweller[at]hotmail
All you need to do to recreate the problem is load the save and let it run for a few moments.
Only problem ive run into so far- keep up the great work!

kat- depends on what you use to save- do you use the ingame save option (as if you were actually playing on a PSX) or do you use the quicksave feature?
If you use quicksave- I cant help you I havent played around with the system long enough to figure out how to convert PSX's .psv files to what epsxe uses.
if you use the ingame save feature, go into the PSX_1_4/memcards subfolder, copy the memory card file, and paste it in the epsxe/memcards subfolder. Load the saved game and your back in business..
