I use a ps2 controller with usb adapter. I use the -r switch to play suikoden 2 fmvs, but when I do, it seems to change my controller a bit; even just pressing x sometimes counts as two or three presses. This is a problem because sometimes I end up skipping dialogue, or using more than one item, or that sort of thing. Is there another switch, or an option I could use, to correct this? As it didn't happen when I didn't use the -r switch.

Seems to happen to a lot of people with various controllers, orangepulp; usually in menu screens rather then when actually playing. AFAIK there's no fix yet - just very delicate button pushing! ;-(

I honestly beleave that it has something to do with the "presure sensitive" buttons on the ps2 pad.

Not necessarily; OP mentions that
which suggests he may be in menus when this happens, and this is a known bug. I'm even getting it on a machine that has a Gravis GamePad Pro - not even analog! - on it. ;-(
