First of all I just want to say that this emulator sounds fantastic (No Plugins!!!! Yah!!) , which is why i am trying so hard to get it to work.
i downloaded pSX v.1.4 and when i tried to run it, i got the message that i needed d3dx9_26.dll. I got it and pSX still didnt work. So i got new a driver for my Voodoo3(i am running WinXp) and reinstalled DirectX9 too. And it still doesnt work. This is the message i get :
Unhandled exception. Save a crash dump?
whether i click yes or no, the emulator crashes.
please help!! i really want to run this emulator.

It must be a issue with the driver, revert back to the old driver using the roll back driver feature in the Device Manager. Open the "Properties" (with double-click or in right-click menu) of the video card [still in Device Manager], and goto the "Driver" Tab and select "Roll Back Driver."

Does this happen when you try to start the emulator, pyro35, when you try to configure it, or when you try to run a game?

The Voodoo³ only supports 3D rendering in 16bit colour depths. If you have your desktop set to 32bit colour, and try to run pSX in a window, it may cause a crash (can't be sure of this though). Try setting your desktop to 16bit colour depth before running pSX, or try running pSX in fullscreen mode (command line option "-f", case-sensitive).
