I've been using the PSX Emulator to play Xenogears for a little while and it was working great, minus the movie sequence problem. But all of the sudden, it crashed and now whenever I open the game and press a button, it pops up with the Unhandled Exception Error and crashes. It does it whether I use the keyboard or the game controller.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, build 2600) Processor: AMD Sempron Processor 2800+, MMX, 3DNow, 1.6 GHz Memory: 1024 MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
Card: VisionTek RADEON 7000 Series ATI Technologies Inc. RADEON 7000 Series AGP Internal DAC 350MHz Memory: 64.0 MB Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor
Drivers: Main Driver: ati2dvag.dll Version: 6.14.0010.6599 Mini VDD: ati2mtag.sys DDI Version: 9(or higher)
Sound Device: SoundMAX Digital Audio Device ID: PCI\VEN_1106DEV_3059SUBSYS_810D1043REV_6 Type: WDM
Game Controller: Was working fine with the game: GGE908 PC Recoil Pad
Any help would be great, I'm dying to get back to Xenogears! Thanks so much!

What exactly do you mean by "all of a sudden, it crashed"? Did it ask to dump the first time it crashed, and did you do the dump if it did ask? Where exactly in the game did it crash? When you try opening the game and pushing a button, is this when *right* when you start up the game, or after you load your file? Any details along those lines (or *anything* else of relevance, like your config settings, image file vs game disc, region of the game, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Did this occur when you upgraded to pSX v1.6, i5spiders, changed any configuration settings or made any system changes?
Other than that, like hoshikuzu says.

Anytime I would press a button, it would crash, whether i used the keyboard or the controller. It would ask to dump and I saved a dump in my folder.

Yes, after I load my game file and then proceed to press a button in it, it would crash.

It's the original game, bought it and all, it's NTSC format, US version. It doesn't matter if the window is fullscreened or not, it will still crash.
For now, I'm using a file called 'SLUS_006' to play my game and it was working fine, but recently, a new bug popped up. Anytime the game file I was playing needed to load a new screen, the game window would freeze and the other window would start talking about an Illegal opcode and type a lot of numbers, scrolling really fast.
At first, it was only when I would first load the game file, but when I would restart my computer, it would work fine. Now, I continue to restart my computer, but nothing changes. It freezes when it tries to load a new scene.
My current scenario:
Xenogears: The game file opens up to a group of people talking. I can go through each of their text boxes fine, no freezing. It has no trouble loading anything already in the scene, such as character movement, dialogue boxes and so forth. But right when it goes to load a new scene/area, the game screen freezes, the music looping and when I look at the other black screen behind the emulator window, it's scrolling really fast a lot of numbers and talking about an illegal opcode.

What BIOS file are you using?
"SLUS_006" is the name of the file on the game disc. Are you saying you're using that file as the BIOS file for the game? I tried using it (in case that's what you meant, to see what would happen), and I ended up with a ton of "illegal opcode" errors.
I've just spent over an hour playing Xenogears (also using my original game disc, and using fast forward to get as far as possible), and I had no problems at all. I used my standard SCHP1001.bin BIOS file with pSX 1.6. If you aren't using SCHP1001 as your BIOS file, I recommend you try using that.

I restarted over and over again, and it's finally working. I think I'm just stuck with a this and I'll just have to restart a bunch whenever I want to play. It really doesn't make sense to me why it's not working on my comp. I thank you for your help, any other tips would be great, otherwise, thanks for everything!

Well, then I'm stuck because I can't seem to replicate the problem. The only other suggestion I can think of would be to extract the CD to bin/cue and see if the problem persists.
