Just for the record, I have found a workaround for the linux-gameshark issue. I don't like it but for right now I am using ePSXe (linux version) and making saves that I've sharked, then moving those to pSX since they use the same kind of mem card. Works out for now, but a native utility would still be awesome.

this is strange. my max fol and lots of exp codes for Star Ocean 2 was working and all the sudden they don't work (and instead, they give a different function like giving me 9 strawberry jams lol...) this is on the latest version of pSX
anyone know what's going on or how to fix it? I retried everything so many times.

ALL codes are working again after I...
1. redownloaded the pSX package 2. converted my .img/.sub files into .cdz
but that probably had nothing to do with fixing it?

Probably not... CEP just seems to work unreliably overall

ibse: Sorry, this is an issue that has been plaguing my mind for weeks now. I've also been working on (slowly, and with little progress) code that will hopefully end up being a program more reliable than CEP. But the more I think about it, the more I keep thinking that this problem has nothing to do with CEP at all. In light of this, I would guess that it was your second action, the conversion, that fixed the problem. Let me go test a theory or two and see if it pays off... Edit: It seems my theory was correct. Easy test for those who want to see for themselves. Take the original disc of a game and create a cue/bin of it. Load that cue/bin into pSX and trying playing it with some codes using CEP. Once you come across a code that doesn't work (and believe me, you will), delete the other codes, leaving only that one. Now hit Eject CD in pSX, and then Insert CD drive, when you will then select the drive your original disc is in. Once done, do another Base Address Search in CEP, make sure the code is on, and go back to your game. Odds are really good that your results (if anything like mine) will show the code working. You may have to refresh the game in some way. One thing I noticed... if you do a base address search with a disc in, then use that same base address when you load the image instead, the codes still usually work. It seems that the problem with codes is a problem with the base address relating to how the emulator handles images vs discs. It's just a guess of course, but results clearly indicate that this or something similar is the problem.

Hi! I tried CEP with pSX 1.22 in RE1 - everything works fine But when i'm entering my codes for martian gothic in the cheat tab they don't work. Every site shows the same codes for martian gothic, so i think they should work. But they are not, what's wrong? The codes are: Infinite Health Karne 8010F624 0064 Infinite Health Kenzo 8010F72C 0064 Infinite Health Matlock 8010F834 0064 So i've entered: ------------------------- 8010F624 0064 8010F72C 0064 8010F834 0064
.end ---------------------------

ff7guy: Read this post that I posted earlier in the thread and follow the directions to find a working code. Once you find it, post that code here and I should be able to give you a working code for AP Up. Also... if you have the chance, try playing from the original disc (or possibly, burn that ccd/img/sub back to a disc and play from that, though I'm not sure if *that* would work). If you try one of those two options, could you report back and let me know if either way worked? dragonheart: Are you playing RE1 and Martian Gothic from disc or image (and if image, mounted or direct)? And are you using the codes for the correct version (NTSC or PAL) of your game?

Gamesoul Master I played games from disk. Used codes in CEP for RESIDENT EVIL UK. I didn't find codes for Martian Gothic so I started searching in the NET. I found codes on 3 different sites, the codes were the same. There was no info about the version of game this codes are working with. I'm using SLES_013.50. It seems to be PAL.

ff7guy: That's really odd, as that's the correct code. After getting that code to work, did you try the AP Code again? 8009D7DC FFFF 8009D7DE FFFF I assume that's the one you're using? dragonheart: I couldn't find any more information than you, but the codes seem to be for the NTSC version from how they're referenced. As there doesn't seem to be any other codes, the best thing you could do is search out your own codes for infinite life (which, luckily, is one of the easier types of codes to search for).

Gamesoul Master And how can I find the codes for infinite health? The health in this game isn't shown in points or percents. There is just a health bar in the options and i can't determine the exact amount of health. Can I still find the codes?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found the code. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Gamesoul Master I folowed your instructions. But as I didn't knew the exactly amount of healt i cured the charecter (to make the bar fully) and searched the codes. There were 24 of them. Then I went to the zombie and waited untill it ate me. When the charecter fall down dead I'm searched the codes with numerikal search 0 and there waw 1 hit! I'm entered it and replaced the last 4 numbers (0000) with 0100. Now I have the full health! But the bar of the health became longer then it was. Strange. However, now I have the infinite health and it's good. Thanks! edit: I've replaced the 0100 with 0064, like in the codes for NTSC version. The bar became normal. Everybody here! Let's share the working codes thet you found. Then somebode can integrate them in the CEP and upload the modified version somewhere! When i found the codes for IH for other charecters in Martian Gothic and the codes for the ammo I will post them here. edit2: I'm understood. The 64 is 100 in hex! I'm just forgot to convert the volue. So now everythink is OK. I will try to find the codes for the infinite ammo in the guns so you even won't need to reload.

Well, here is the codes. This 3 codes gives infinite health for Kenzo, Karn and Matlock: 8010E7DC 0064 8010E6D4 0064 8010E5CC 0064 These codes makes the bullets in your guns infinite: 80135E20 0006 80135B10 000A 80135790 0008 80135678 0006 801360C0 0006 80135E20 0006 But this isn't all. Every gun in the game have it's own code (every dillinger, diablo and so on). I found the codes for all guns that I'm having at this moment. When I will find another gun I will post codes for it. So you don't have to carrie bullets in your inventory or reload the gun. You can find the needed codes by yourself. Just follow the Game Soulmaster's instructions. If you have any quastions - ask them. And forgive me once again for my English, I hope you understood everything that I said.
