Corrupted, huh? That's strange. They work fine on my PS2. Still doesn't work. Oh well. Thanks anyway. I'll just buy a DexDrive and see if that works.

In terms of converting to PS3 format, yeah... can't do that right now. Without access to a PS3, I have no chance.

Hello, Could you please convert these american save files (2) to european versions of FF7 for PS3 (PSV). I tried hex editing the raw save files, which helped me a little bit but I wasn't able to crack the algoritm. (yes, you can call me a fool for trying) Anyways I would be very gratefull if you'd convert these for me because as far as I know the only way is to have a psp or a memcard adapter and i dont have ay of those. rapidshare.com/files/242320577/epsxe000.mcr.htmlThanks a lot, Marriej Hello this week i got myself a PSP GO and I want to give this save file another "go". Off course I can't use the described methods because the PSP GO wont be hacked soon. Anyways the copy i have on my ps3/psp is europian so I was hoping you could convert these saves to a europian format? this would help greatly. If you have any tips please tell me. Maybe I won't get anywhere but I have to try I look forward hearing from you.

Converted the save. Digging out my game to test it now.
Edit: Weird, the converted save is crashing the game. In pSX and ePSXe. I'd almost wonder if it was because of Windows 7, but that's highly unlikely, as it reads other memory card files just fine. I'm thinking either the memory card save you provided is corrupt, or this game requires more effort in the conversion than normal. I'll take a further look into it.
Edit 2: The save is most definitely corrupt. I doubt I can recover what may be left.

Before the conversion the file is ok.Cause i can load it in the PAL version of the game.I think the game requires more effort in the conversion,too-but it will be difficult to find .It can't be....There must be some way.... ps.my pal memory save is in gamefaqs.com ,too(200.6 ALL completed with no cheats,Alucard at level 99,ALL items except salable, all relics, all familiars at level 99,absolut power muramasa with 999 damage!). www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/save/196885.html

You are correct. The "PAL" save I was comparing it to (in hex) was mislabeled and was actually an NTSC-U file. Looking at another true PAL save, I can see that it doesn't seem to be corrupt.
However, as you say, it's not a simple conversion (the layout of the actual data in the save is very different). I don't see a way to do the conversion, as I don't know what data would be moved and to where. There *might* be a workaround though, but it'd involve having both the NTSC-U and PAL versions of the game to do. And even then, it probably wouldn't work (it would only work if the games keep data in the same places in memory, which is probably unlikely under the circumstances).

Hey, Gamesoul Master! First off, thank you for offering your help with this. I could really use a memory card file (.mcr) converted to PS3 VM save (.psv) My file is located on Mediafire ( www.mediafire.com/?atdgzndmk4z) I don't believe slots are something for me to worry about, as I'll just copy this save to the PS3 via USB. That should be it from me. Thank you!

EDIT: Please ignore this post, I did it myself with CWCheat. The directions for doing so seem very complicated, but they're actually quite easy. Gamesoul Master, are you still doing conversion requests? If so, and if this is actually possible (I've been reading the threads here regarding PSP saves), could you convert my pSX memory card to a FF7 savegame for use on the PSP? www.mediafire.com/file/ju5jdnl13mo/01.mcrThis is raw from pSX, which I believe outputs mcr... but I also know that I put that extension on it.
